2000/2001 Roster Patch - Progress Report

With v1.07 of the current roster update released and 2001/2002 completed (although I'll probably go back and add some free agents, fix up some ratings, etc), I've started work on the 2000/2001 roster patch. There's more players to create this time around (I only needed to create 5 missing players for 2001/2002), so it will take a little longer.

So far, I've done all the Atlantic Division teams (Boston, Miami, New Jersey, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Washington). So the patch is basically 24% complete, not including additional free agents, deleting players who entered the league after 2000/2001, double-checking and correcting, etc.

The earliest rosters I could find are accurate as of November 6th, 2000 (about a week or so after opening night). It's still basically opening night rosters, but probably with a couple of players who were picked up in the first week of the season.

Can't say when it will be finished, but it's progressing fairly quickly, so I'll do my best to get it out ASAP.

I've completed 17 of the 29 teams, so not including free agents, All-Star teams and double-checking it's about 59% complete. All of the Eastern teams are complete, plus Sacramento and Houston (both required no players to be created).

Still no set release date, but it's still progressing nicely. I didn't have much time to work on it last week, so I've had to catch up.

I'd like to know that...

Patricia Bender's site, as well as some old opening night roster listings from NBA.com that I had saved to my HD. Some of the listings on Patricia's site are a couple of days after opening night, so some of the old season roster patches won't be exactly opening night rosters, but they'll all be accurate as of sometime in the first week of the season.

The rosters themselves are actually the Player Ages listings. It's the closest thing I can find to old season roster listings.

Just 9 NBA teams left to do, then I can add the 2001 All-Star teams, some free agents, and delete the appropriate players. I'll try to start on the 1999/2000 patch as soon as I complete this one.

I wouldn't be much of a Bulls fan if I didn't work back to 95/96.

I can't make cyberfaces myself, so I'll have to do my best with what's in the game.

I've completed all 29 NBA teams and created some additional free agents (which will also save me some time in working on the 1999/2000 rosters), and the patch could be released right now. However, I'd like to double-check jersey numbers again, make sure the rosters are accurate, update the All-Star teams and update some players' DSTATS. If all goes well, it should be released within the next couple of days.
