Official Live 06 Question Thread

Instead of all these threads with one question, post here, but try not to spam and please use proper English ...

I have 2 questions,

1- When the CPU subs, do they sub PF for PF, or do they sub a C into the C spot and move the C to PF?

2- How does the shooting animation (just normal shooting) look?

(Stickified). 1- Nope not PF for PF.. Any player that can play the position.
2- ??

I mean like when they sub do they switch players' positions to a more appropriate one? Like, for Dallas, they want to sub Dampier out and sub Van Horn in, so they move Dirk from PF to C, and put Van Horn in at PF.

The normal shooting style, does it look good? Better or worse than 05?

Shooting style is about the same as 05. They switched up the big man shooting animation so it looks more realistic, but it takes a while to get used to.

Going on todays nba rosters are there many players missing from the game?

The games roster are updated only to August 4th. If you have the game on PC wait for Andrew or someone else to release their rosters.

I've been reading Dynasty Stories, and I noticed Preseason games. Are there really preseason games in dynasty mode?

No there are no preseason games.

So everyone is making up the Preseason? That's a good idea.

Question: How does the CPU play when the user choses to control only one position? When I played in 2005, locked with Nash or Lebron, it was annoying at times. On offense the cpu would pass back to me way too often and generally not create for itself or the rest of the team.

Related question.. using a locked position, how good is the CPU at running a fast break?

I remember in 2004 when you could pick your favorite team to be displayed in the main menu then they got rid of that for some reason and in 2005 every time you start up the game you get carmello which after a while got really annoying.They shoudl've made it so that players would randomize every time you atarted up. Anyways, I was wondering how the menus are for Live 06, like is it like 2005 where instead of carmello, Dwyane wade will be there or can you pick your fav team?

Pylon Man: Someone posted about that in here, from what I remember it's very, very well done The CPU plays realistically, runs the break, creates shots and will pass to you if you have good position in the paint.

Why does the rebounding sucks!? (Sorry, that's the only part that's preventing me from playing this game all the time & I needed to vent some steam) Hopefully somebody will answer my question.

Question: How come i have no replays? I checked everywhere, but still cant find it.

Question: Is it possible to re-configure my controls while in-game? Or do I have to go to the main menu? AFAIK, the only thing you can do in-game is switch user-controlled teams and controller profiles.

Sould I make Shuan Livingston into a playmaker? Is he good enough for it?

Free Throw Shooting Mess Up?
When I try to shoot a free throw it messes up and like when I press circle or x the status bar goes all the way to the right when I try to get it in the middle. This is happening to me on Superstar! Does anybody else have this same problem?

why did EA use the old logo of Utah Jazz in the menu screen?

im just flustered with this.

A replay only comes when you do a Freesyle move.

have they sorted out that free throw bug where you couldnt make a sub untill the second free throw... if made ... ?

I actually never heard of that before Knicks fan but... At least on the PS2 version after I hit the first free throw I am allowed to sub a player in...

you should be able to sub when a foul is called, so from what you have said it hasnt been fixed.
