All-Star Weekend
The slam dunk contest is back, complete with some new tosses and a nifty cartwheel, but the most exciting aspect is the fact that you can now compete in the dunk contest, as well as the three-point shootout, online. It's a bit disappointing, though, that you can only play online against a single opponent in each game.

has anyone tried the dunk contest online? is it available on the pc version?

With Player Evolution and the ability to mold your own team, you can do what Isiah Thomas can't, build a winning franchise.

I didn't see your post. Anyway, everyone was saying (me too) how we want box scores for all the games. In the Q&A it said there wasn't. But, IGN says there is.

either that, or they didn't notice box scores last year.

Anyway, how many NBA game articles does IGN's Jon Robinson start by remembering how "Tom Chambers could dunk from the FT line"? He's done it several times now.

The 9.0 is good, and I HOPE we do get ALL dynasty box scores.

I don't get it, why does EA suck at graphics? Year in and year out, the graphics are always the worst of the competition.

that's exactly what I'm saying. wtf is with EA? man i got to admit that 2k6 graphic is much better and i wish they make one for pc.....i mean i see no big improvement from 2003......it was kind of surprising how IGN actually said Live was no near 2k6 graphic wise and i totally agree. i'm so disappointed with graphic like i always did every year and especially with pc looking much worse than console version....In my opinion Live developing team is not giving their best effort.... i dont have the game yet but other than superstar,hiring coaching staff (i mean it's a good addition to the game but it's not a "big" addition, and i at least expected some kind of team chemistry stuff like in MVP Basell), some tweaks to the gameplay (it's not even that good from what i read on the reviews) i see no big difference to the game... i love live and i've been a live fan ever since it came out but i'm just disappointed with their "effort"

who sold more copies last year? 2k5 or live? i'm just wondering because when you go to operationsports forum or any other forum there are a lot more people paying attention to 2k than live.

Superstar moves add the realism of individuality to the court, don't expect to play any realistic type of basketball game here. Sure, you can call plays and players act more realistically than in the past, but this is far from a basketball simulation. As a videogame, it's extremely fun and addicting, especially playing two-players, but if you're looking for a true sim, you're looking in the wrong place.

Their's steal sliders, from what I've read all over the place from the people playing the PC version, this hasn't been a problem, so...

but the problem is that the gameplay is not great and smooth. even with the slider game speed, block, steal, and etc are not that great. (i'm assumming that great means realism).

Yes, I got bored of NBA Live 2005. So I rented NBA 2K6 for about a month. You don't know shit about me so why even 'assume' that kind of shit. I wouldn't make an opinion based on screenshots.

NBA Live is a much much better game. 2k6 just has graphics on us.

Actually this year it might have Association/Dynasty mode too because that stuff is very impressive, and players actually attempts FT's in simulation

NBA 2K6s gameplay is more realistic I'll say that. The thing is, Lives is still better because 2k still has a lot of flaws and Live now has superstar which will make it somewhat more realistic. When I get my ps3 I wonder what we'll all be getting..NBA Livr 2007 or NBA 2K7.
