While I agree that efficiency isn't the rank of players, really think now, a player wouldn't be efficient if he wasn't putting up good numbers in a variety of categories... While I wouldn't say Brad Miller is one of the top 15 players in the NBA< he is one of the top 5-8 centers > He's not THAT far off. Last year he was injured half the season, and he still put up 15 and almost 8 and 3-4 assists.
But yes, you are correct, efficiency ratings do NOT fully determine the rank of a player, but I do believe it should have some part.
Efficiency isn't the rank of players, first of all it takes no account to defense, and also it doesn't take into account MPG. In addition to that, big men always get an advantage over guards because they shoot higher percentages, and it's easier to get rebounds than it is to get assists, which is normally the difference between big's and guards statistically.
Anyone that thinks efficiency is the rank of players doesn't know basketball, sorry, but it's true. So Brad Miller is the 11th best player in the league?

DIRK AVERAGED 1.53 BLOCKS LAST SEASON.
HIGHER THAN NBA GOD GARNETT.
pleas stop staying that he's a below average shot blocker. He's a not ben wallace but he can block shots.

If I was using the suns, I'd trade Shawn Marion to get DIrk.

Yes, you are right, he should get a 75 block, and his pass should be about 55, I don't understand why they made it lower. Like I said, after you update him he'll be in the 88-89 range

Dirk shouldn't have a high block rating. he is not a shotblocker. he blocks only jumpers and the shot blocking ability in NBA Live is that you can block dunks and lay ups for the most part. if you give dirk a higher block rating he will be doing shit he can't do in real life and that's blocking ben wallace and shaq in dunks and he can't do that. And he is almost 7 foot or is 7 foot so the amount of blocks increase when a player is taller. For instance:
a 6'9" guy has a rating of 75 and a 7" guy has a block rating of 60 or 65 they will block an even amount in the games. Plus i noticed that Quickness and strength help the blocks also.
so, the updates should not update dirk at all in my opinion. not even the pass rating as i explained earlier how he get most of his assists.
But most guys will bitch about his ratings and the updated dirk probably will be one of the most dominat players. which he shouldn't be in my opinion. Ryan fucking Bowen and T-mac gave the man nightmares in the play offs. He shot like 350 % FG n the First Round last year and 28 % from 3-land. Fuck dirk he is already dominant with the rating he will get in the default rosters.
