Joe Johnson an 87 is just ridiculous. just because he sign a 90 mil contract doesn't mean hez on par with vince, dirk, kidd or manu and other superstars in the high 80s range.

i think alot of you need to realize that the players who do a bit of everything are gonna be rated higher than you would expect them to. for instance joe johnson being higher than dirk or marion higher than nash. the more you can do the better your overall will be. overall its just a number really that brings all the other stats together. personally i wish EA would just do away with the overall rateing and force us to judge based on what they can actually do and what thier other rateings are.

I agree. JJ can't be 87...bigger than Melo??? Joe might be a leader in the A-Town, but bigger than Melo...thats just fucked up...

while i agree that JJ's overrated, it seems like a marketting move.
they must have thought about ppl in atlanta and giving them one player to actually want to play with their team.

I guess im the only one disagreeing with Lebron being better than T-mac, who is way more experienced. Also, i dont give a shit what anyone says, Marion is a complete player, hands down.

Joe Johnson at 87, is a little high. He's higher than nash. Atlanta will be good when that 87 transfers to them, as some of their players are a little high like Smith over 80.
Rasheed is too high at 89. He's not on par with Kirilenko, Pierce, or Vinsanity. And shaq is only 90, so sheed should be about 83-84.
JJ 87 because he can do EVERYTHING. Nash can't play D, has no athleticism, can't rebound, cant dunk....etc
Rasheed's 89 is a bit surprising but compare him to those 3 he still can do MORE than they can
GET IT INTO YOUR HEADS PEOPLE....MORE VERSATILE PLAYERS WILL HAVE HIGHER RATINGS..

Francis got 89 again, thats good enough for me lol I expected them to snub him to a 86 or something

Thanks a lot Da Balla! And yes...I've been waiting for them to put this back in there. I also hope they have that graph that they used to have in 2000 so you can see development over multiple years.

These are quite possibly the worst ratings ever. I will definitley be going with 2k6 again this year.

The thing was, that graph was never really correct. You'd have a guy like Grant Hill, starts off at 87. By the time he's been in decline, it shows only his original rating at like at 83. It picks up the general trend, but it doesn't actually keep the ratings exact. Then live 02, 03 for xbox had a written version that was even worse.
Another feature would be nice would be a "
Roster Snapshot" to look back and see every player on your team in previous years. Like say I'm at year 4, I could look back and see who was there in year 3, year 2, year 1, say after the trade deadline. Have it say their ratings, stats and team's record.

What is the old 0-99 system?
Sun Sep 18, 2005 4:08 am
The 0-99 system was that players ratings were in a scale of 50 to 99.
I posted something wrong here and I edited

Thank you, you hear all these people like how cna an MVP only be an 85

. Well let's see, Nash can't defender man to man, can't steal, can't jump, can't dunk, won't have high rebound ratings, only averaged 15 PPG last season etc...
Rasheed is the only one that really surprised me because he's good, but even when he was on Portland he wouldn't get an 89 lol, and then he was scoring more
All in all, we can edit ratings, and everyone should if they want to enjoy the game to it's fullest. Overall ratings are so stupid, they should just take them out of the game....
