Thanks. Hope both of us will go the distance with our dynasties.

No one seems to be interested in the interview  No surprise there. It's not like anyone knows this guy  Just thought I'd use him since I made his cyberface a long time ago.

Wed Sep 14, 2005 3:05 am

I thought you did a good job on it, I was interested and I don't even know who he is! lol

Null if you have time, do you think you can make a cyberface for my dynasty? I would love a ronnie brewer one instead of using the horrid create a player. If ur busy, then no biggie but if you have the time, I would greatly appreciate it :)

I haven't patched in a while. I might give it a shot when I have time this weekend. Not guaranteeing anything though. You'll have a better chance with the guys on the announcements section

Finley organizes tournament

San Antonio, TX - Ever wondered how it felt to play in the NBA? Most people do. And most people would spend their whole lifetime just wondering and never finding out. This time you'll might just get a chance to get a taste of "the life" with Michael Finley's recent announcement.

Earlier this afternoon, Michael Finley announced that he will organize a one-on-one tournament for non-NBA players at the Holcrombe Rucker Playground in New York. The tournament will go under the name "Michael Finley 1on1 Challenge".

The winner of the tournament will get to chance to play one-on-one against Michael Finley himself and also get to be part of the San Antonio Stallions for a certain period of time. He will take part in the team's practice sessions as well as play as part of the roster in a few preseason games. All accepted participants of the tournament will immediately get giftpacks from Nike and the San Antonio Stallions as well as free round trip tickets to New York.

The tournament is open to anyone that isn't playing basketball professionally. There are no age limits but participants under 18 years of age will need to get parental consent.

The event will be televised on NBA TV in TV series formtat and a special DVD will be released documenting the whole event.

All proceeds of the event will be donated to the victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. "All the money's going to go to the poor victims in New Orleans and at the same time I organized this event to celebrate my move to San Antonio" Finley stated.

great idea (Y) , but why in New york??

Fri Sep 16, 2005 3:18 am

Cloudy, yeah right.

zmac, yeah I saw the jerseys. colors looked weird to me. but no problem from me though. good luck

Seraph
, wanted to use the Rucker park mod  besides I wanted it to be a real place. don't want the default street court

and about the tournament thing on top...

this is open to everyone in NLSC

all you need is to pm me your profile and a cyberface, if you don't have a cyberface and can't get anyone to make one for you. then maybe just um...give me some details to on how to make a CAP of yourself.

just follow this template:

Fullname:
Height: be realistic
Weight: see above
Age: only women lie about their age
Location: City and Country will be fine
Ratings: try to be realistic as well but to make it fair everyone will have a masimum of a 70 overall rating. just gimme the ratings that are needed for create-a-player
Other stuff: any particular bands or other gear you like? shoes (although I might give everyone random Nike shoes as part of the Nike freebies)

if you can give some cool info about yourself, that would be better. more material for the updates.

have yet to finalize the format of the tournament. it's going to depend on the number of people who would want to join (hope it's a lot)

Duncan and Ginobili's late game heroics couldn't save Stallions

Winston-Salem, NC - In the fourth quarter, Tim Duncan scored 8 of his 16pts to start an offensive rally against the Dallas Mavericks to cut what was an 8 point lead down to 4. Later on, Manu Ginobili, with less than a minute remaining in the game and a score of 72-74 in the Mavs' favor, gets a crucial steal from a Devin Harris pass. But alas, the Stallions weren't meant to win that night at the Lawrence Joel Veteran's Memorial Coliseum in Wake Forest University.

The Manu steal at the last moments of the game didn't convert to a quick two points foiling the Stallions remaining chances of saving the game as the Jason Terry was intentionally fouled in the following possession. Terry was able to sink in both free throws to end the game with a final score of 72-74 in favor of Dallas.

Dirk Nowitzki had a good night and was awarded as player of the game by scoring 20 points and surprisingly grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked 4 shots, 2 of which were Tim Duncan's. Newly signed Maverick Doug Christie proved that he was a good acquisition by the team by getting 11 points and 5 boards. Wake Forest alumnus Josh Howard also notched solid numbers with 9 points and 2 rebounds.

Also a former Demon Deacon, Tim Duncan, as noted earlier, scored 16 points as well as 6 rebounds and 10 astounding blocks, 3 of which were done in a span of around 10 seconds in the 3rd quarter. Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker also helped in the scoring department with 17 and 9 points respectively. Another notable was Rasho Nesterovic's performance of 8 points and 10 rebounds who is showing signs that he might get his starting spot back.

Sun Sep 18, 2005 12:40 am

Very close game but you lost...Wow what an out standing preformance by Duncan..10 blocks  ...

Sun Sep 18, 2005 12:45 am

3 blocks in 10 seconds?!?!

wow...too bad you lost, though...youre gonna get 'em next time!

Sun Sep 18, 2005 1:55 am

yeah. too bad about the loss. the 3 blocks in 10 seconds was fun. two were on dirk going for the layup then christie got a hold of the ball and tried a jumpshot but duncan was there.

anymore people interested in the Michael Finley 1on1 Challenge? only have 5 players so far. 2 of which still didn't pm me their proper ratings.
