What company do you think should Develope the next NBA LIVE

Sat Sep 03, 2005 5:14 am

I think a Japanese company should like KONAMI

Sat Sep 03, 2005 5:32 am

EA Canada should make it. There's always basketball game alternatives so I don't see why Live should change companies or anything.

Sat Sep 03, 2005 5:34 am

i think an american one so ea canada

Sat Sep 03, 2005 5:38 am

Pro Evo... mm...

Sat Sep 03, 2005 5:46 am

Ea canada for some reason can fix the smallest things, for example players sliding on the floor....i mean even one n64 players didnt do that.

Sat Sep 03, 2005 5:52 am

yeh true konami makes pro which is 10times better than fifa

Sat Sep 03, 2005 6:28 am

well konami is making imho the best sports sim AI with Pro-Rvo/Winning Eleven, so my vote goes to konami. anyway i don't think there's a chance they will be making any nba bball game soon.

EA should learn at least how to copy the way the physics and the AI are implemented.

it would take ages for guys that play EA sports games to get used to the feel though. dribbling "seems" totally unresponsive 90 and 180 degrees turns at full speed take like 3 seconds to do (if you dont slow down), no freestyle controls whatsoever, just modifiers. all is based upon succesfully controlling the momentum of the dribble (to turn rapdily 90 degrees you must slow down like in real life) modifiers and the players dribbling ratings. the biggest problem with nba live, at least with the dribbling/skating/gliding in case you haven't noticed is that the ball has no momentum whatsoever.

ahh well..... not gonna happen.... ever. let's hope and try get the best out of the only PC bbal game available.

Ea sports canada. If only they would talk witht he other projects (madden/mvp) and get ideas..it would be so much better.

Your geography isn't good, is it?

hahaha

Left Field Productions. They made a great job in NBA courtside 2002. If they could work along with some NBA Live programmers the results would be good, for sure.

Sat Sep 03, 2005 8:00 am

I think they should stay with EA canada. I mean, no offense, but now evrything is mada by the japanese

Sat Sep 03, 2005 8:15 am

"I think a Japanese company should like KONAMI" me too. i don't like ea canada anymore, unless i play nba live 06 and really really really like it. its alwas good for a change.

Um...well Konami can't produce NBA Live...NBA Live is owned by EA. Also Japanese aren't too interested in basketball, I doubt it would sell much in Japan, and Konami is very much an Asian-centric company. Furthermore, you would have to buy the NBA License. Konami doesn't have the money to buy the NBA License unfortuantely. However, if we were to translate the realism of the physics system in Winning Eleven/PES to NBA Live, we would have a MUCH better game. PES is so great at producing such a realistic feel of soccer that I don't think they have much work left! It's that good. No NBA game has ever felt that realistic...EVER..

Sat Sep 03, 2005 11:07 am

I just had some really shitty games against Legend today, and I cursed the damn TV screen so much that I ended up voting for Konami as a way to express my frustration.

Sat Sep 03, 2005 12:42 pm

I really feel there is no need for a change of company, just a change of personal

I have NBA Courtside 2002 on GCN  And IMO Left Field Productions did a great job with it

Sat Sep 03, 2005 1:33 pm

the guys who make madden should make it.

Konami developed an NBA game before, so buying NBA license for them is not that big deal. NBA starting 5 for xbox/ps2 and ESPN NBA 2night for Xbox/PS2. And those games had a poor ratings and review.

So I think Nba Live franchise should stay with EA Canada or maybe hire the guys behind NBA 2K2.

Sat Sep 03, 2005 2:09 pm

can i vote for the madden team to make it next year? i see others have so i guess i will too

Sat Sep 03, 2005 2:29 pm

I forgot to mention, Konami's NBA in the Zone form 96 to 2000 for PS1 and N64. And all those 5 NBA in the Zone games either had a poor or mediocre reviews. Do I need to say more about Konami making an NBA game?

-Yeah, probably the guys behind Madden should work with the next NBA live(especially with Dynasty mode), because those guys did a great job in doing the franchise mode for Madden. (Y)
