Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

In my opinion i think that live 06 is going to be way better than live 05... if all u r looking for is the code to be rewritten it means nothing...u dont know if it makes a game better or worse...the freestyle moves they are adding makes the game way better... no look passes....is that going to be in 2k6?.
There are somethings that need to be adjusted...example at the end of the game somehow Wade stuffed swift lol.
Also, i like live 04 and 05 so if 06 is close to the same with more added stuff like better dunk animations like the self ally oop u can do on fast breaks.... i think this game will be worth it...and with league play now...u can avoid the cheaters on easo and get some fun playing in.

I just can't believe you're looking forward to a game that closely resembles last year's version.

I'd rather have them re-write the code instead of building upon outdated code. Civilization IV is coming out soon, and the code was completely re-written and I can already see it being a huge, huge success.

You'll see more of that, trust me. Those guys at EA Canada, the past few years, never changes anything.

I can only say...i hope that u are wrong...but i will probably rent it for ps2 or GC b4 i actually buy it for pc...i will try and get the feel of it...if i like it i will buy it for pc.

Yes.

Overall, I'm still excited about the game. Most negatives have already been mentioned, except for a
big one. What about the amount of adjusted shots (mostly shaq down low) that either came off the side of the backboard, or even worse, had that stupid freakin out of bounds call when the player adjusts behind the backboard????
As mentioned, shot distribution... I think Wade scored 20 of Miami's first 22 points??? Pass to shaq guys! I am still happy though, and do think there are some good points.
7/10

Not only that....look at Shaq'a position....I often saw him behind the 3pt line....
Let me be drastic: if the final game will look like the video, I'd rather play WINDOWS XP'S Pinball.

This game looks worse than Live '05. What the hell went wrong?

Maybe the chose to focus on Next Gen's version, cause the honestly did a terrible job on this one.

I think the problem with this year's game, is that EA is trying too hard to please everybody. People were complaining a lot last year that you couldn't fast break, players missed too many layups, and the passing was too slow. This year, teams break too much, layups are nearly automatic (with the right players), and the passing zips around.
The Positives: Every year, the players move more like real players on the court. The game has some of the best subtle elements of basketball. The AI will work the ball to get easy shots for players. The animations are better than last year's game, and are some of the best I've ever seen in a video game.
Negatives: The biggest problem is that the scoring is too high. But there was another thing that was driving me crazy. When the ball is on one wing, the defense needs to slide a little to the ball--especially if it's a superstar. The weakside defense can cheat off their man a little. And the players should be keeping on eye on their man, and one eye on the ball. One player (James, Williams, someone like that), was left completely isolated at about 17 feet. He missed the shot, but that just never happens. Another defender will always move closer to stop penetration.
If I do end up buying this game, the sliders need to go way down.

Oh yea, and Wade is not that good of a shooter. He's an above-average shooter, and that was with a lot of work. Every shot should not be automatic.

In future please edit your previous post instead of making a new one

A lot of time is spent on the marketing elements of the game. That means the motion capture, the sweat on the brow for XBox 360, the superstar moves.
The main concern is the icing on the cake, rather than on the cake, because icing sells.

Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking.

One thing that occurred to me after watching the videos again is that there weren't any substitutions, suggesting Fatigue is turned off. That would affect the pace of the game and performance of the players somewhat, in every single NBA Live it's been much easier to score when players don't tire (as would be the case in real life, if human beings had limitless energy and stamina). That's what I'm hoping, anyway.
Sun Aug 28, 2005 11:49 pm
didnt watch the videos but im not really concerned about the pace of the game. I'm guessing defualt setting have it at 50, i like to play at about 38-40.
So far, theres no mention of constant perimeter blocks so im satisfied and EA gets my money this year.

i cant take screenshot of it..but look at the video number 4...during 00:06..yao's head was above the boarD?...and a 02:56..yao's armpit was above the rim..

Doesnt seem like the highest difficulty
Mon Aug 29, 2005 8:47 pm
I wouldn't expect the CPU would have too much difficulty playing against itself.

I'll co-sign that.

wade have tooo big fg ;/ he had first 20pkt at miami's 22 :/ t-mac had a lower fg than flash :/ i understand that ea's making him a little better but he doesn't shoot better than t-mac! guyz
Tue Aug 30, 2005 10:17 pm
Wade: .478 FG
McGrady: .431 FG
Apart from 3's, Wade shoots at a higher field goal percentage.

Wade doesnt shoot better tho, he doesnt even take 3's hardly or even a long 2.. he drives and gets his. T-mac should drive MORE. but T-Mac is without a doubt a MUCH better shooter with WAY more range.
if u dont agree, well... ur retarded quite frankly lol
Tue Aug 30, 2005 10:29 pm
No doubt T-Mac has more range, but when you compare their mid range shots theres not much in it.
