What's the best franchise setup

Want i want to know is how to setup the franchies (sim/play quarter lenght, skill level etc. maybe some specific roosters) to get some reasonable stats. I want computer simulated games' stats (team and player) to be as close to my played game stats as possible. I just don't want no longer get 3 mvp candidates from my team, and don't want scoring avarage 30% more points per game then other teams in the season.
