I really like my Saitek P2500 in terms of durability and overall feel.
The only drawback is that instead of 4 triggers and 4 buttons like on the PS2, there are 2 triggers and 6 buttons. This makes it a bit tougher to do combos etc. in games.

I have a cheap $5 PS2 controller ripoff that I bought in Korea. It's exactly like the PS2 controller except 5$. :D It has worked for many many many years. Even those PS2 USB converter things are more expensive than my controller. HAH!

If you buy it somewhere else, you don't need enything. It plugs via USB port...

I got a $10 PS2 controller/USB converter from Radio shack a few years ago....works perfect!

Ive had 3 logitechs. 2 dual action for the PC and one logitech wireless for the PS2. I aint talking about the dual action's because enough crap has already been thrown to them and its all true. Stay Away from them or you wil not live longer. Or you can kill somebody while your throwing the controller through the window.

About the PS2 wireless from logittech, Its not as acurate and responsive as the original PS2 controller. Thank God I found a great usb adapter and now use my PS2 controller on my Laptop wich has 128 MB's Video Card and a Centrino Mobile Processor and the Game looks and moves awesome.

Bottom line is that the best way to go is with a USB adapter and a PS2 Controller

Controller

Sun Aug 21, 2005 5:46 pm

I had the Logitech Dual Action and it started acting weird within a week.

After two other controllers, I bought the very cheap 'Gamers Factory USB Game Pad.'

It looks like the company may be out of business now, but I've had the pad for six months without a problem.

Mon Aug 22, 2005 3:13 am

I use Logitech Dual Action and i don't have problems with him...i'm playing with it for about 7 months!

Mon Aug 22, 2005 10:39 pm

I use the keyboard, no extra money and it's all right

Tue Aug 23, 2005 12:45 am

No it's not all right. If you haven't used the controller than you wouldn't know...

Do they have adapters for Xbox controllers aswell or just PS2?

Wed Aug 24, 2005 2:18 am

Anybody checking out the Xbox360's when it comes out, should be compatible with PC's since it should have a USB model available too. ?

Mon Dec 19, 2005 12:30 am

I've got the ps2 controller with the adapter, but Live doesn't recognize it for some reason (or am I being stupid??)

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Mon Dec 19, 2005 4:58 am

you should post your problem in technical issues

Mon Dec 19, 2005 5:12 am

Do the PS2 adapters come with a driver CD or something, or can you just plug and play?

Mon Dec 19, 2005 6:49 am

my came with a driver CD but i'm sure i could of just plugged it in and Microsoft would of installed it
