I have tried everyway to make this game a good one. Downloading patches and all that crap

it doesnt matter. No patch can fix this joke of a game

and let me ask this - if we pay so much for a game, why would we need to make patches anyway. We pay our hard earned moneym, and EA hands us the biggest most UNPLAYABLE piece of shit ive ever seen

I understand exactly what you mean, i always download some cool patch, and get excited to see it in the game......................... but then i play 5 minutes and get so pissed off i shut the game off. This game is garbage!

FIX THE GAMEPLAY!!!!!!!

It's not as painful as some people make it out to be, but it IS pretty bad. The computer seems to switch randomly from missing easy dunks to drinking closely guarded 3s consecutively. It boggles the mind.

And I'll never for the life of me be able to figure out why no game can get intentional fouls at the end of the game right. I'll be up by a point with 10 seconds left and the computer just sits there watching themseleves lose.

i think NBA Live is da best game ever. u guys cant have everything in one game. and besides its not that expensive u know. u complain too much. why dont u just buy urself a carrot and stick it up ur asses maybe u'll have fun then. peace!! dont mean to offend anyone.

If you downloaded DK's patch and still found it "pathetic" then go and make changes to the game yourself.

That's what I did, I changed every rating to the way I liked it and it the game feels so much better coz it's played the way I want it.

For example, I felt as though the speed was a little too fast, so I decreased it. Friends who come over my house may not like it very much, but it suits the way how I want to play it.

Try that, might help. But I ain't gonna hold my breathe on it.

This whole thread is stupid. Why would you go to a fan website where people are making patches to improve the game to complain? If you want to complain go make an Nba Live 2003 hate webpage and do it there.

That's a good idea..but it's too bad nobody can change anything that REALLY makes a difference in the game..such as A.I. patterns used by the cpu..
Modified rosters only go so far toward fixing a flawed game.

This is why a gripes section was made 2 years ago...cause gripers can be annoying..so they get their own section.

What's wrong however, is comming into their section to flame with them. Let people express what they think freely please.

The gameplay is complete garbage. After three months of playing and downloading every imaginable patch, I have concluded that while the graphics are amazing, the gameplay sucks royally. I have switched back to playing NBA Live 2000 and having much more fun. Live 2000 is very realistic. NBA Live 2003 is fun only if you don't mind fantasy games. Teams don't shoot 60% 10 games in a row. In a "good" game you might see 4-5 dunks, not 30. Did I mention th gameplay sucks?

I was playing 2000 up until early this year too, and it was screwed up in a few places, but I never truly got sick of it. And I rented Live 03' when it came out on gamecube so I knew better... still when I saw the game for 20 bucks and remembered the graphics and thought about all the patches and cyberfaces there would be I had to pick it up.. but I wouldn't do it over. I mean I patched it up best you can but I just don't feel like I can play this game for more than a couple seasons, still its SO pretty... sigh even worse its kinda ruined me for live 2000 with the graphics and all.. I wanna believe EA can turn it around big time with '04 but deep down its hard to think they'd do that, since they must have made a fortune on 03' whether it sucked or not, so where's the motivation?

And that's why we screw EA by purchasing NBA 2K4 on a console. Maybe they'd get the hint that their series has taken a turn for the worst in the last couple of years.

Have you guys tried NBA2k3 or NBA Inside Drive 2k3 on xbox? Personally I think they are much more realistic and awesome than Live 2k3, NBA 2k3 got some cool features such as 3 on 3, 5 on 5 street ball, tournament mode and scrimmage practice. I especially like the graphics and commentary in NBA Inside Drive, they got 4 commentators including a female!! I always thought Live 2k3 was the best basketball game, but now I think I'll change my mind.

You know...live 2003 outsold 2k3 on all platforms. I guess people on a whole like the faster pace and graphics.

EA Sports sells itself thats why it outsold NBA2k3 the only people who know the greatness of 2k3 are Dreamcast owners. I own both and I play both I play 2k3 online more 'cause its more realistic (sorta)

both games have a lot of flaws and both are fun to play I just can't stand playing live 2003 and watching the computer run out to the three point line to take a shot rather than running a play and making it look natural
