Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

Here are some of the observations:
Instead of just adding the new Superstar feature and leaving it at that, EA decided to upgrade NBA Live 06 in a number of areas which really make a difference. What came out like a right hook and hit us the hardest was the new visual presentation which receives a great upgrade due to a revamped graphics engine. Players look worlds better than last year, boasting more believable proportions and popping off the screen with higher resolution. Camera views have also been tweaked a bit to showcase the better transition mechanic in NBA Live 06. There will be far more opportunities to spot a fast break developing than last year, and the competitive A.I. seems to know how to run the floor like you would see in a real NBA game. The animations have also been enhanced, which now include some nice dunk effects including guys getting dunked on! NBA Live 06 definitely brings a new attitude to the hoops market with the new dunk graphics and the instances where contact among rival players occur. Blocking or charges seem to be a larger part of the game now, which gives a greater sense of realism than in year’s prior.
Shaq goes up and over.
Past NBA sniper and current analyst Steve Kerr joins Marv “yes” Albert in the broadcast booth this year, adding additional technical data to the colorful call. Johnson and Smith bring hilarity to the All-Star Weekend once again, making the dunk contest one of the best mini-games out there. Speaking of the dunk contest, players will have a whole new batch of dunks to concoct, and we’re assuming they’ll be even more outlandish stuffs than the back-flipping, gravity-defying ones of NBA 2005.
We should be receiving a complete build of NBA Live 06very soon, at which time we’ll have even more details on the online features this year, inclusions to the All-Star Weekend and Dynasty Mode, and the ins and outs of the Freestyle Superstars functionality. Stay tuned for much more as NBA Live 06 is slated to drop sometime in October.
I LOVE THIS GAME!

Pinoyidol:Given the chance, I would love to and be proud of.. I'm working as Account Exec. & a basketball referee and P.A. Announcer here in Manila. But I would like to replace JAE as moderator (joke!joke!). Thanks Anyway!

Some of it sounds good, but
Blocking or charges seem to be a larger part of the game now, which gives a greater sense of realism than in year’s prior.
As if blocking didn't play a large enough part??

Nice find

I posted it on the main-page giving you credit of course.
The article sounds good to me, brings up some nice stuff (which we already know).
What I don't like about it is that it says "[i]We should be receiving a complete build of NBA Live 06very soon,[i]". That means the previews we are seeing are very close to completed... Which isn’t too good at all considering we’ve seen several things that we were hoping would get fixed (jersey textures, Shaq doing windmills and so on...)?

I was thinking the same thing when I was reading the article...but it looks like most of the others missed it. I really hope they just meant less, more exciting blocks...but i think that would be a little to hopeful. Otherwise, everything else sounded good in the article. I am definetly becoming more and more excited for this game.

Yea hopefully... but if they honestly don't fix stuff like Shaq doing windmills all I can think is 'wtf was EA thinking?' I thought the same thing when I first played 05 on EASO and saw that pro mode (I forgot the name of it) had fatigue defaulted to 0.

I've split this thread and moved it in an effort to avoid this becoming a redundant topic. The thread is here...
