after reading the article it seems like no one player can have many different types of superstar mode (like wade can't be playmaker, high flyer, and inside stopper at the same time). It seems like we can choose 8 moves before we play the game, but i have a question here. Like the article said players like lebron can be a playmaker, high flyer, or other types, but can we choose 4 moves for playmaker and 4 moves for high flyer or 2 for each mode? So the question is, is the 8 moves limited to only one superstar mode? because this will make difference in the game.

The graphics do look like an improvement, but I just got this feeling that your going to expect too many people getting dunke on in one game and its always going to be something that EA overdo, but I just hope it won't be that way when the game comes out. I like the other moves though like when they said Korver can shoot just as fast as he shoots in real life and everything like that.

Thanks for posting

Nice find.
I'll post it on the main-page as soon as possible (giving you credit of course).
edit: It seems to me that the 8 moves are restricted to the ones in one category only.
But you can choose one on defence and one of offence (if the player has the ability) though.

"When I first started playing the game, I was worried that all of the Superstar abilities would make the game feel too arcadish, but once you move beyond Starter level, the game becomes a more realistic look at matchups than it is about dunking with Dwyane. Sure, you'll be able to tear up the Hornets or Bobcats, but try playing Detroit, a team that features Rasheed (Inside Stopper, Inside Scorer), Ben Wallace (Power, Inside Stopper), Prince (Inside Stopper), and B-B-B-Billups (Outside Stopper, not to mention, they need to sign Mason for the game), and you're offense is going to run into some trouble. That's what Detroit-Basketball is all about, and it's finally being represented realistically in a videogame."
i was worried too about the game being too arcadish, but he says it that it won't be. and it's up to u whether or not to trust him.

it kinda sucks that guys like lebron can use just one of the superstar modes at a time, if we could change it during the game, just like the quickplays it would be great! but i asume that it'll be one offensive and one defensive per game.
and besides that, it looks like they still haven't made a decent cyberface to kobe

I really like what the article brings up, especially the last part about the defence.
Freestyle Superstars is sort of like the the whole 'signature moves' they've been talking about for the past releases. It's not actually signature moves, but it sounds like it will definitely ad more realism to the game and make players able to act more like they actually do.
Oh yea, looks like the graphics has improved a bit since last time. Already got the Shox VC V's and Huarache 2k5's also.
By the way, where are the screenshots at Worthplaying? I can't find them.

It's right under the Marvel Nemesis. It's the same pics that were shown with Deron Williams and Raymond Felton. Nothing new, but the pics are real big which is why I don't want to post them. The graphics does look alot better and it has more of that smooth look which is what I'm impressed with. I don't know if I can believe that article or not about the realism part, but he brought up a good point about the Pistons defense and if you was say, playing the Mavs who is not really a defensive team, it would be a little easier to score against them. If they have the teams playing exactly how they play in real life, then that would make it even better.

is EA really that stupid....

and BIG ONES
Fri Jul 15, 2005 6:30 am
Yea, turns out it was my internet security that was blocking the pictures. Just had to disable it...
Hrm, those better be old screens; the new ones at IGN looks a lot better than those ones.
Tmac_2.5; No, he's wearing the upcoming Nike Shox VC 5's. Kobe and Joe J is wearing the Huarache 2k5's, Duncan is wearing the D-Cool 2's, Christie is wearing the Forums, yet their spokesperson doesn't have his new sig shoe for some reason...

Man great stuff, thanks for the posts
Fri Jul 15, 2005 8:31 am
YES! Now I can be the Pistons and use Ben Wallace's "over the back" special rebound, which should result in Wallace fouling out in the first quarter

. Nah but seriously, this game is really starting to look amazing, but honestly, isn't going over someone's back for a rebound a foul?
Fri Jul 15, 2005 8:44 am
Nice Find! I like the review. This game is going to be great. I cannot wait to throw down a SELF Alley when I am on the break.
Fri Jul 15, 2005 10:50 am
Man.. but isn't over the back illegal..?
They can never get Kobe right!!
Fri Jul 15, 2005 10:53 am
its legal the back!!!lol damn nash dont wear that shoes
Fri Jul 15, 2005 11:18 am
Does this makes the game more realistic?
Fri Jul 15, 2005 12:06 pm
Live 2006 is going to be so...arcadey..

Yea, it kind of does because that saves people time from giving them the right shoes. It doesn't hurt for them to put the right shoes on the players so they would look more in uniform than having like Joe Johnson wearing some white shoes away, while Nash is wearing those shoes instead of the Air Zoom Drives. Sure, its not that big of a deal, but its the little things that count.

I like the graphics alot. I can't wait to play this game!
