Madden gets better and better every year ! I love that feature they have with the draft pick and stuff.

yea, the madden 06's new feature include:

QB Vision
QB Precesion
Truck stick
and an all new Superstar mode, which is a huge dynasty like feature.

All this in one year. And NBA Live we get only one feature every year and if we are lucky two, like in last year. No dramatic improvements in Live. Its frusturating. I know that everyone will start to say "Its too early to talk about NBA Live 06" but I am just saying it, based on past experience.

2003 - Freestyle
2004 - 10 man freestyle (And Franchise mode was cut and the Dynasty was intoduced).
2005 - All Star weekend ( And Pro-hop )

We need a mode like the superstar in madden. But instead of emphasizing that on the wishlists, we have been asking for mesh holes in jerseys and cool shoes. Hopefully with the ESPN contract, the Live series would take a turn for the better.

Very nice overall atmosphere! Some graphics look rushed, but if they're going to cram all of that in, I don't mind.

the thing with madden is not that it gets better every year, its just how much better it gets ever year. unlike live it dont have a few improvements, it totally turns shit up each and every single year. its unreal that they can keep adding all this shit and live gives us maybe 1 worthwhile feature each year. all i was is a dynasty mode with a ton of depth. i want much better dynasty AI (trades,drafts, so on). i love madden for all thier franchise stuff but i skipped it last year and probably will this year simply cause i like the game of basketball 100 times more.

Pro-Hop came in 2004, and was unstopabble. 2004 also had they put sliders back in. 2005, they fixed the pro-hop, actually they just added a slider for it, but it wasn't when it came, and they also added in-Air freestyle in 2004 I think, and Tip-ins in 2005. Not any major things though.

Madden is not popular here in Manila because B-ball is the main sports here and i have not yet play any MADDEN series BUT this game is really HOT and I might try it now...

damn this is nfl meets the sims...has some interesting features but it almost looks asthough this game will take over peoples lives to a whole new level.

I thoght EA (the publisher, not the developer) was the one guilty for the lack of new features in NBA Live series. Now I see that the real reason is laziness of the developers.

Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE! If EA could only give more EXTRA time & EFFORTS for NBA LIVE 06, it could catch up with MADDEN!!!

Every single year some ret-person... posts a Madden thread in the Live section... WHY So we can sit here and be like "Live needs to have this, Live needs to be that"? Gimme a break. Let Madden do its thing. Anybody ever take into consideration that Madden started about 5 years before Live did? Now they have got the gameplay and graphics where they want them. Thats why they can keep adding all these new game modes and stuff because they don't have much to do besides maybe tweak a few gameplay aspecs and do small modifications to the graphics and rosters.

NBA Live 06 will not have this, you don't have to be an EA Insider to know this. And I know if it were to have this mode, everyone would be complaining. "The mode is great, but the gameplay sucks." Damn, maybe when Live gets everything gameplay and graphics wise under control, they'll start importing more features and gamemodes.

Extra time? Do you have any idea about some of the working conditions in EA's studio? I bet if you worked there you'd be trying to get done and get out. You try working a 12-15 hour day and then not smack a person if they ask you to work extra time. "Nothing is impossible" Just because something isn't impossible doesn't mean it's gonna happen immediately. It's not impossible for KG to show up to your house right now and walk through your door, but it's not gonna happen.

Since Madden sells better, of course EA will invest more money in it, have better staff, etc. Someone who can work out dynasty code more efficiently will go to the Madden staff not nba, regardless of their preference. It's sad really.

As for the 5 year difference, it doesn't really matter. FIFA's been there longer than Winning Eleven but FIFA has clearly been worse historically gameplay wise. Plus you can never have perfect gameplay. Madden changes theirs quite drastically every year. Every game feels SIGNIFICANTLY different from the predecessors while retaining the same feel. And when the hell did NBA Live EVER have the gameplay right? Isn't it about time? I mean Madden 2000 has the gameplay more "right" than NBA Live 2005. Heck, MVP baseball is more "right" and it's much younger than NBA Live. The fact is, NBA Live is just far inferior to Madden in terms of quality because Madden sells more and EA Sports will continue to invest more in Madden because of that. NBA Live will never catch up unless something drastic happens like NBA 2k series selling more than NBA Live. Furthermore, customers of NBA Live want an arcadier experience, unlike customers of Madden because arcadism does not make football any better. However, arcadism makes NBA Live "cooler".

Why can't EA Sports make NBA Live improve as much as Madden every year then? It simply doesn't. They only update it slightly because it still sells. I don't know if this will ever change. Hopefully I am wrong.
