More Enthusiasm

Whenever a buzzerbeater would go off, Marv wouldn't go crazy like he does in real life. I think it would help if Marv would show more enhusiasm when there are pressured situations.

I totally agree; but not only with the commentators, but also with the players, bench and crowd.
As long as they don’t have a realistic environment, it doesn't matter how good the players look, it still won’t give out a realistic feel. That's something that EA need to think about since it's been a problem for as long as I can remember (a lot of focus on the players, and very little on the general enviroment)...

In Pro Evo Soccer they have this cool thing where the commentary is just basic and monotone ("Player passes to player... starts dribbling upfield, passes to player") but if you score a nice goal or something it's like ("Dribbles towards the box..BRILLIANT!!! WHAT A GOAL!!!") lol it's pretty cool how it works, the commentors go nuts and it does add to the game.

In my opinion the commentary has been improving the last couple of years...Marv will even say "For the tie!" or "For the win!" if the situation is right. Further improvements could only add to the atmosphere...I quite liked what I heard in the next-gen commercial.

Oh yeah it's shit generally but they do get excited at the right time.

The commentary wasn't terrible this year, but I definitely agree that more enthusiastic commentary would greatly improve the game. The clutch moments at the end of close games are sort of anti-climatic because the announcers aren't as animated. They should talk a lot more as well at the end. When it's a close game, every rebound or pass counts, and you notice that the commentators will say much more of "Passes to Webber, who passes to Iverson..." and stuff like that. It'd be nice if they would talk about strategy late in games too. I'm pretty sure in '05, they wouldn't say things like "So, would you go for a 2 here, or would you go for a 3 to win it in regulation?" and stuff like that. I think that, along with the commentators mentioning players that can perform in the clutch or players who have been on fire ("Right here they need to try to get it to Reggie, he's 3/3 from downtown tonight and he knows how to score in the clutch), especially during timeouts so they aren't so quite. That's a bit much to expect, but that's what I'd wish for from commentary.

Yea, they have to get the stats( that game, that season and the players carrer) involved in their commentary like " this player is going for his 2000th carrer pt. today" and "this guy is leading the league in 3pts made and he adds one more now."

Like if it is a must win game and u made a big shot the commentators should me excited. So should the bench they should jump off the bench or something

i've always had an issue with this..but my male friends say i'm complaining about nothing.

there needs to be different levels of emotionz for the on court players as well as the commentatorz. it's getting better but they still have alot of work to do.

Totally agree. Especially the crowd audio - I wanna hear them go nuts when their team is making a big run down the stretch, or hitting a clutch basket.

I find the commentary isn't good enough, too. they just dont show emotion. On espn national hockey night, i was bringing it into the offensive zone with elias, and i pass to arnott to dump it in before we're even at the blue line, and he shoots and scores and the guys are like "what a goal off the great deflection!!" thats pretty unrealistic cuz theyd be getting on the goalie for allowing a 30 foot goal!
