Perhaps when Dynasty Mode is even deeper, gameplay has improved to the point where we realism freaks don't have too many complaints and they're looking for something new to add, it would be fine. In the mean time, I can live without it.

I think I've played the dunk contest twice anyways. All-Star Weekend just doesn't draw me in.

Camera angles... you're right. A TV-like camera angle would be great.

Yes, I really agree with what Andrew said...until EA is able to get the gameplay almost perfect and have the dynasty mode have true depth, they shouldn't add more to All Star Weekend...

A skills competition is, to me, very similar to what the 3pt contest is. It's not something I'm gonna play for fun. Although if you're playing a dynasty it's something that you do anyways, since it's a part of it pretty much; there's also the time if you're playing it with a few friends, then it's quite entertaining. The Skills Competition would be just like it, a supplement.

personally i think the dunk contest was a waste of time and effort. i do like all star weekend as far as the all star game and rookie game is concerned. i dont mind the 3 point contest but i dont care about it either. if they keep all star and rookie game i would be very happy. those 2 are easy to leave in. i dont care if they play exactly like a regular game either, so i clearly am not picky

I'd have to disagree there, it's a nice side game that I'll play from time to time when I have a bit of time to kill but either don't feel like playing a full game or don't have the time (as I always play 12 minute quarters in Dynasty Mode). NBA Live 2005's Dynasty Mode was an improvement on every other year in most areas, I was pretty much satisfied with the gameplay (I'm still playing the game, I have my gripes but I still enjoy it), so in my opinion All-Star Weekend didn't take much away from the rest of the game.

That said, I feel All-Star Weekend is fine the way it is, the only improvements I'd make would be to add more customisation for the rules and settings.

i'm fine w/out it......in fact I barely scraped the surface of that dunk contest and the other stuff.

i care more about getting the gameplay where it should be, i can live w/out the extras in the meantime.

Come on now! The dunk contest is the best thing about NBA Live 2005! Truly innovative in it's genre ..

yeah the dunk contest is but if they added the skills challenge it would make alot of people play it longer cuz after a while the dunk contest gets boring
