Here is the IGN impressions and Video:

June 28, 2005 - It is a good day in sports gaming when the character models are so detailed that you can actually see sweat coursing down players' bodies. That's exactly what happens in the trailer for the Xbox 360 version of NBA Live 06, and we have the video to prove it.

We've already seen some pretty amazing stuff from the EA crew for Madden 06 on the 360, but the Live trailer takes things to the next level. Featuring video of the Sonics and Pistons, the segment kicks off with theatrical music and the unmistakable voice of Marv Albert setting the scene. After whisking around the arena, the camera closes in on the action, and we get our first glimpse of the character models: roped with muscle, perfectly structured, and closely resembling their NBA counterparts.

With the NBA Finals so fresh in everyone's minds, it's easy to see just how good the likenesses are. Not only are the face models for Tayshaun Prince and Chauncey Billups spot-on, but their body types and accessories are also perfectly matched. This is nothing new for a Live game, but it's never been this detailed.

Once the action gets going, we get a taste of several camera setups (possibly from an instant replay perspective). The off-the-ball movement is great, and the animations look nice, but what really stands out in this clip is the attention to detail in cutscenes and zoomed-in shots. Squint at Ray Allen and you may think that you're watching a scene from He Got Game.

As the final play mounts, there is a stunning play where Allen leaps up to grab a board and slams it home. In the process, he knocks his opponent to the ground, who crumples in a pile. Realism is oozing out of this footage, and we can't wait to get our hands on the real thing. Check out the Media Page to see the trailer and check out some shots from the game. Be sure to stay tuned to IGN Sports for more on Live 06 as it develops.

I wish that the OFF-THE-BALL animations and as well as the RIM and NET physics/animations in LIVE06 next-gen are the SAME for the PS2 version.

What do you think Sir Andrew??

I wish I could have enough money to buy this XBOX-360 before the game comes out on September 26 based on the banner of EA during the NBA draft according to those who saw it..

NBA LIVE 06 is no doubt to be NO. 1 this year!!! :)

It's not... And it sucks hard because of that... :?

PINOYIdol or whatever your name is, in future refrain from making 4 posts one after another. Edit your original post, the other 3 were unnecessary.

It's all down and dandy... but wouldn't the Pistons run more time off the shot clock and Billups would be more likely to get the shot. Radmanovic wouldn't get the last shot either

Thanks for the links, I have posted them in the news and given you credit. (Y)

I have to say, I really liked what I saw. Looks like the animations will be excellent on the next-gen systems, as well as the commentary. Hopefully the current generation consoles - or at least the PC version - will be similarly impressive. While I can't imagine the detail will be quite as high even for the PC version, hopefully the animations will be fluid, the commentary as accurate and detailed and the CPU player logic suitably intelligent and realistic.

hmmm i understand why graphics i so much better ,but it just look like totaly difreent game to me ,look on bady types ,in first trailer looks same bad as last year ,same very big shoes ,slim ancles bad animations of dribling and plenty of bugs etc but in this next gen movie is TOTALY difrent ,difrrent movement, bodytypes ,tempo just EVERYTHING same with screenshots ,I not mean with graphic but with body types
hmm only similarity i see is the camera angle "maybe" nice to see for somebady but terible for the gameplay.Im very suspisious about next live

OMG...MARV'S SAYING THE SAME THING EVERY SINGLE FREAKING YEAR..WOW

Wed Jun 29, 2005 10:42 pm

Naaa, the commentary was cool

Hamilton is missing headband and facemask...

I think the commentary was one of the best things in it. It's not as stiff and rigid as it's been before, but perhaps it was special made for the commercial.
The graphics is looking as awesome as before, and the player/ball physics is looking awesome as well.
The actuall player movement was also a thing that I think is looking great. All the little movements with the arms Lewis did and so on. I'm getting excited again over the game...

looks great

It won't..

Thu Jun 30, 2005 5:13 am

^How come KASro?
The actual gameplay won’t differ from the versions I don't think; it's basically only the graphic part of the game that will.
It's not like their going to improve the old gameplay for the consoles (+PC version), and also finish a completely new gameplay for another version of the game; when the old versions will be able to handle the new and better gameplay. I could be wrong though...

what suck...its the reaction of the 3 point of Rashard Lewis, like missed shot

I don't think so.. :? The movements, animations are so different, so i don't think gameplay can be the same. It's impossible...

Thu Jun 30, 2005 6:48 am

Guys this isnt a ingame movie, this is al made to give you a impression off how it could look like on the next gen consolles. the next gen nba live 06 is not playable jet. I think this is all generated with the same kind off hardware that the xbox 360 has, but this is not the actual game!

hope you can understand what i'm trying to say.

Thu Jun 30, 2005 7:00 am

Yeah...the animations are said to be different. They are supposed to be completely starting over from scratch for Xbox 360 because they can do so much more with the code and animations or something like that.

And I disagree, I'm confident that what we've seen was in game...at least I hope@

Thu Jun 30, 2005 7:04 am

It's probably all motion captured and we are suposed to think that it's realy the game for the xbox 360 (N)

Thu Jun 30, 2005 7:08 am

Are you sure?

I thought it was the game
