Well, I have just seen the Live 06 Rookie videos and honestly, I am impressed and satisfied for the big improvements especially the graphics, new animations, new camera angles?? and the NEW Superstar mode which is a phenomenon and biggest addition to GAMEPLAY.

Not to mention the arrival of Steve Kerr for the Commentary, of cors franchise mode is expected to be better also. The fun & excitement of the ALL-STAR weekend is still awesome and the return of the CUT-SCENES.

So there's no doubt that NBA LIVE 06 is a MUST BUY for all of US..

(that's only for PS2, what more if the next-gen version unfolds?? It will really drive me crazy in playing this game..)

Those who will still cry and make a shit remarks for Live06, get the fuck out of here and just wait for 2007..

Wtf that makes no sense. This is 2005, the next game is NBA Live 06... if people aren't satisfied with what they've seen so far they should be able to air their opinions.

I think you're a bit of a fanboy to be perfectly honest, you're getting amazingly excited about very few things we've been made aware of. We have no idea how superstar freestyle is going to improve the gameplay just yet, I think someone pointed out that in one video Tim Duncan throws down a Dr. J dunk so that sounds fantastic already  The graphics for the next gen consoles look fantastic, but for those of us who aren't going to spend their entire rent money on a console it's a sparse improvement over Live 05. I think they've completely geared this years game to the next gen consoles, which is a bit disappointing but I'll buy it anyways.

I totally agree with your comment here. (Especially about gearing for the next gen console)

Sun Jun 26, 2005 2:14 am

its only geared for next gen consoles because the technology isn't out for pc yet and the cell chip processors for pc won't be out until the end of this year/early next year. I'd like it if ea did release a next gen pc version early next year despite having to wait that little longer but the technology will be out by then to cater for it.

they need to slow down the fucking pace of the game... it seems like everyone loves throwing up acrobatic layups or throwing behind the back passes. personally i want realism

Sun Jun 26, 2005 6:15 am

What I'm wondering is,will they have a lot of shoes available in the Store and Edit Player like they had in 2005? Anyone know?

Sun Jun 26, 2005 8:11 am

I am still waiting to hear about the dynasty mode.

Slow down the pace? Real NBA players steal the ball and finish a fast break within 5 seconds. Do you want Live's fast breaks down to 10 seconds before finishing. I sure as hell don't.

Sun Jun 26, 2005 3:57 pm

I think they should slow down the general pace of the game... not so much the fast breaks as you mentioned, although I reckon with a quick player on NBA Live you could go coast to coast in around 3 seconds but the way the players sprint around the court like they're steroid fuelled lab rats gets irritating. If they slowed that down for me personally it'd improve the game alot.

You get me wrong sir. what I mean are for those gamers who will still say that Live 06 is still garbage should better get out of this forum because they don't know how to appreciate the improvements for this 2006 version.

I am not a diehard Live gamer becu'z in fact I am also playing 2K5 and also buying 2K6.

I believe that the superstar mode will not be abuse and there is Risks and counter defense for it.

I am buying this game No Matter What :!:

Thanks EASPORTS!

I think EA is showing us the news in the game.... THE WHOLE GAME WOUN'T be like that. It's just not possible... It's like in NBA 2003... They showed us the alley-oops.... THE WHOLE GAMES WASN't giving the alley-oop pass... There also will be a harder difficulty level and I think we will be able to change sliders.

There are some things that I like what I've seen so far, and some things I'm disappointed with. The general impression I've gotten is better than what I felt for 2005, though.

I sure hope throwing down windmills with Shaq isn't really true.. in that latest article they also mentioned pushing blah + blah makes Shaq do a windmill.

I readed it to, and i sure hope not shaq is able to pull the hardest dunk there is off. But at the same time i am verry exited to see there are windmills included.

I like all off the new features and dont think it's goning to look like nba street. i mean you are the one controlling you dont have to throw fancy passes.

EA official site wrote: In Freestyle Superstar Mode, the user-controlled moves are created by pressing the left trigger + holding or tapping a face button. If you press the left trigger + tapping Y when trying to dunk with Shaq, he’ll go throw out a windmill

I agree that the commercials is just giving us what we want with the Superstars making great plays...I do hope the great defense is still in the game, though.

I Was Most Impressed With The Emeka Okafor one

I know its going to be abused because in that rookie video on EA, they showed Dwight Howard dunking on Shaq :? Just watch and see, if you play this game online, you know its really going to be abused and just hope that the computer won't be programmed to do it all the time either. It would really be funny if Shaq had more than one freestyle superstar option like passing and he would be doing behind the back passes
