I'm hoping the in-game menu are revamped and more user friendly. I'm getting sick and tired of going through some many screens just to get to one place in Live 05. The player's profile should include career stats instead of current stats, it should also include all the awards earned by such and such players like Regular Season MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, etc etc

Part of what bothers me is that they only allow one max superstar. What happens if you trade for another superstar calibur player? Will they no longer have the superstar abilities? A bit confusing, hopefully more info is released later.

They didn't say you'll only have one superstar? Notice they mentioned both Manu & Duncan?

The superstar thing seems to depend on your overall ratings, so if you trade for Tim Duncan and have Bryant on your team, he will have the bigman superstar thing and Bryant will have the swingman superstar thing.

Yea they are nice.

But those aren't the 360 version screenies right?? :?

Thu Jun 16, 2005 5:58 pm

It's PC screens..

Thu Jun 16, 2005 6:57 pm

I know, so we PC gamers are not gonna get the 360 version

Thu Jun 16, 2005 7:05 pm

well.. duh. Nice logic reasoning there brainiac.

Good luck trying to run the 360 version on pc  , heck why don't u try the ps2 version on pc.

On the bright side, I highly doubt the Xbox 360 would have too many features the current generation versions wouldn't; the only differences would be cosmetic.

Sorry, I left out the word Offensive.

"Each team has a maximum of one offensive and one defensive superstar"

So does that mean that Duncan is the defensive superstar and Manu is the offensive? If so, then thats dumb because some teams have more than 1 offensive superstar such as O'neal & Wade, etc.

I don't think EA is that silly. Say LA still had Shaq, I'm sure they wouldn't put one guy as a superstar on defense and the other on offense since it's not like that.

I think Bowen will have the "superstar defensive freestyle" on the Spurs. Notice him in one of the screens. (Not that is says much, but using general NBA knowledge we know Bowen is the Spurs' perimeter defender.)

I'm pretty sure Manu will have some form of the superstar thing, as will Duncan. Like I said, till now what I've understood of the whole new feature is that you will be assigned superstar qualites based on your ratings. So I wouldn't be all too worried about one person max.

That's silly, I'll give a (way out there) example.

Shaquille O'Neal is a superstar on the Heat.
Amare Stoudemire is a superstar on the Suns.
Ron Artest is a superstar (defense wise) on the Pacers.
Kobe Bryant is a superstar on the Lakers.
Jason Kidd is a superstar on the Nets.

Now if you were to trade away in your dynasty for these players, I'm sure they wouldn't just assign one guy with the superstar capabilities. Each of them will do their own thing I thinks. Shaq will dunk big time, Amare will too probably, Artest will have the defensive superstar abilities assigned to himself, Bryant will have the swingman one, thus dunks with a bit more flare I thinks & Kidd will be able to do the nifty passes.

(Btw, don't assemble that team, it'll probably be fun for awhile then just bore you.)
