Does anybody know ?

Mon Jun 06, 2005 6:33 pm

an employee, producer, or whatever who works for EASports, specially the department who is in charge of the NBA live series.

We have a huge community here and it'd be cool if one of us knew someone from EA personally so that he/she could hand in our wishlist to them.

This is so frustating!

andrew knows a few poeple or so as he said

Mon Jun 06, 2005 7:12 pm

Tim, the guy who originally ran the NLSC works for EA.

Mon Jun 06, 2005 8:42 pm

Tim is a producer on the NBA Live project...

Even if someone here works at EA, of cors they won't be allowed to disclose any info in advance re: LIVE 2006.

We are all excited about the game but the only thing we can do is to WAIT AND SEE!

Tue Jun 07, 2005 8:58 am

why doesnt tim post here? I mean he doesnt have to disclose "secret" info right now but later once we know some stuff it would be nice to have him around the forum.

Tue Jun 07, 2005 9:54 am

I think he used to but he stopped.. maybe it was people blaming him for everything bad in the games or whatever.. I don't really know.

Considering some of the EA bashing that goes on (not to mention some of the barbs directed at Tim a few years back), it's not really a friendly atmosphere for the producers to post in. Perhaps if we could all behave ourselves - we'd be moderating against folks who didn't - it might encourage some of the people on the NBA Live team to stop by with a post more often.

The folks I know can't always divulge too much, but whenever I get something that I can post, I'll post it. (Y)

i am a very decent poster and i wont bash people at my age and older than me
so tim and the other guys can have a peaceful environment with coolmac around 8-)

Tue Jun 07, 2005 4:06 pm

You are RIGHT bro. Let's all stop this topic about TIM. Better wait for the right time for EA to release new infos thru IGN, Gamespot or Operationsports.com.

It's only 4 months or more before the approx. release date!!!

Just relax and play LIVE 05 in the meanwhile.

Tue Jun 07, 2005 4:43 pm

In the meantime, if I receive information that I can post, I will of course post it.

Tue Jun 07, 2005 9:06 pm

The problem isn't with the normal posters... The really veteran guys can behave themselves very well, but it's Sega fans and Live haters that can't... They see a producer and the first thing from their mouths are that their product sucks! And sucks big time.

I've always liked playing Lives... It doesn't mean that the games are perfect, far from it, but I've always had an enjoyable experience with it...

And who knows... Maybe Tim is a regular on these boards, but just doesn't make his producer status known to others or who he really is... To avoid the direct insults and get more objective opinions on the game.

Wed Jun 08, 2005 6:05 pm

yeah.you are right.....if i'm a producer and some kid bashed and bad mouth me i'll be hurt too.....are you a producer metsis?
anyways like andrew said if he has some things, he'll post it here..so let's be patient and be mature enough

Wed Jun 08, 2005 6:54 pm

No I'm not a producer of NBA Live... But which of the regulars is?

Tim could very well be a regular writer here and we just don't know about it. I don't he's abandoned his old site totally as I would certainly check in once in a while what the word is on the "street"... And would probably post from time to time too... Just to see reactions and replies to different things.

No, I'm not Tim, my first name is Timo...

Thu Jun 09, 2005 12:01 am

It'd be cool if he did post from time to time, maybe not regarding the upcoming Live but maybe just to let us know how it is working for EA sports, the enviroment, just the whole journey from playing Live and running a site to working for one of the largest game companies at the moment.

I think it'd just be cool to have someone around who is in that enviroment day in and day out, besides it'd be a kicker to have one of the original community guys around since Stevan seems to have fallen off the face of the earth, Yohance has moved on & Matthew just got fed up with it all (and rightfully so). Instead, we're stuck with newer & less improved versions of folks like Coolmac. :(

Sorry for the rant.

We will behave Tim, please start to post.

If he is, he's kept it a secret from me too. Tim has made a few posts in this new forum under his account (Tim).

Thu Jun 09, 2005 12:27 pm

how do we know you are not tim, andrew? or should I say tim?

lol

Even if there were EA producers posting on this forum, what makes you think they will spill all the secrets on what's gonna be in the game? For all they know, their competitors could also be visiting this site and copying every secret they hear about NBA Live on this site.

Thu Jun 09, 2005 3:52 pm

Indeed, which is why they generally can't reveal too much. But any information that I can gather which I'm at liberty to post, I will certainly post it.

Thu Jun 09, 2005 4:00 pm

Of course they can't tell us anything they are not allowed... It's the same with Andrew... He may know more, but he's not allowed to tell everything he knows.

If a producer came here and started spilling his guts, he'd get fired in a heartbeat.

The fact is that this is probably the number one NBA Live community, atleast one that I know of and the people here are quite honest about the game and it's pros and cons.

The overall vibe of this place is very warm and fuzzy and I'm sure EA and even Sega make sure that they keep an ear open to the communities around the globe.

Fri Jun 10, 2005 12:14 pm

Well if they can't take EA bashing, they shouldn't read the forum at all.

Fri Jun 10, 2005 2:12 pm

I can see where you're coming from, but the fact is if the only response they're going to get is "You're a bunch of liars", "You don't care about what the fans want" and so on and so forth, they're going to question whether it's worth interacting with us if a majority of people don't really seem interested in what they're saying or are willing to give them a chance. Criticism/suggestions and bashing aren't one and the same.

Fri Jun 10, 2005 2:57 pm

Bashing isn't good for anyone... If an EA producer would sign on and get bashed all the time, what good would that make? Would it make the game better? No... Would it make the producers day? No... Would it make even your basher fantasy day? I don't think so...

The fact is that a producer or anyone working on the game will probably get better information and more honest opinions from people if we don't know who he really is and if that also takes away all the EA bashing, well it's all good...

Bashing is good for no one... The producers and game makers know so much more better on how cruel and unappreciative the wheel of byroucracy is at a company of EAs size.

Remember when your bashing desires rise, that EA still makes the NBA Live games and I play it for atleast most of the year on/off and the game is actually pretty good at the moment. There is no options for us PC users and even if you hate the whole bunch, you still end up playing the game so is the bashing even justified?
