Discussion about NBA Live 2003.

First of all thanks to EA for the Effort. However, the game is a huge disappointment.
The navigation menu is fuckery...........and the game play is like basket ball on Roller Blades. Is there a true simulation mode? How do I block with the left hand and how do I block with the right hand? How many post moves are there in Basket ball? Is it just two? Why dont the the gotdam subs go to the scorer's table and come in on dead balls, didnt we fuckinnnnnng request that for the last two years? Did I mention the simulation mode............
The This version is unplayable and I will not stoop to the low of a morbid idiot by playing this bullcraaap!
So for you cats who loves getting done by EA Sports, go ahead and play this mess, while taking 12 inches of EA's boner right up your whoozy you can pray to God that the next version of live, which will be Live 2005, will be better.
Far as the Freestyle controls, they suck!
I know there is a learning curve for a new game, but this game is totaly unplayable for anyone who loves to play a realistic type of basketball.
I have 14 days to return this game. So make sure yall stay up all night long; until you figure out how to make this game playable and enjoyable. I got better things to do like Bang the wife, homework, Americas Amry, and Medal of Honor. So until this crap is playable, It will be sitting in the jewel case. I will give it 13days and if there is no fix to this shitttt, On my momma, it's going back

Actually E/A Paid me a huge amount of money to say this, but it's true.
The game is really good. There is a learning curb and you must play realistic basket ball. Ive been playing to days straight thats How much I love this game.

I agree with some of the problems, but to say the game "is not playable" is the one thing I must disagree with, it is playable, you just have to invest time in actually playing and getting a feel for it

I am actually having a love affair with this game. I have stayed up until 4:00 AM two nights in a row and this game is addictive. I cant stop playing it or thinking of it.

Yo Blacksmurf I gotta agree with you...
Before the game came out they said that you can block with either your left or right hand and steal with your left and right hand.
But I love the post moves though and the shooting mehacnism.
And for any who reads this? Freestyle control totally wack. I'm sorry, I love NBA live and I've been playing it since 94 or 95. The thing I have problem with is beating a defender sometimes. Even though I beat a defender, the A.I. just keeps running in front of me and drawing a charge or something.
I just do not understand how stupid these people can be making a video game like that. Everytime you block a ball it goes outside! People at EA Sports have no sense whatsoever and I'm sorry if anyone is offended by that statement.
All I heard about was this freestyle, freestyle, freestyle business and it is totally bogus. And to be honest, I don't feel as if I have total control when dribbling because I have to trying this and that just to beat a defender.
I'm not even going to continue saying anymore, enough said.

hey, Freestyle really sucks. I think, they've developed it for NBA Street, but in cause of missing features, ea implemented it in this game.
never tried this freestyle, beacause my fundamentals are still sufficient enough to beat my matchups.
and i am not going to buy this gamepad. i would buy a Basketball simulation either!

Win the tip-off where 'timing and anticipation is key', pass to SF, but don't shoot, cause odds in that case are 5 out of 7 that you'll miss. But making a pass in an offensive zone means a turnover in something like 3 out of 7 cases. So better shoot, miss and run as fast as you can to establish a thing called D. A fast breaking player will attempt a tree-shaving dunk over you so you should try blocking - then one of three things happens each having almost equal frequence: 1) the player dunks and you wobble in shame 2) the player dunks, you get fouled and wobble in shame 3) the player misses a dunk and you wobble in pride.
Offence is simple: get the ball to your PG, run the floor to free-throw line, make a spin and then shoot.
When on defence: select full-court press (anyone found a way to make your OWN offence/defence settings default?) and try to make a steal. Note: do not use this tactics if opponent's PG is kidd, starbury, or similar - you will foul out before you know it.
If that doesn't work, try to get control over some big guy and lurk out there for blocks. Note: jumping up for block does not automatically result in a block, unless AI is controlling the blocker, and you control the shooter.
Enjoy!
