wow.....there is a lot of players retiring

Yeah, that happens with everyone's.

Yea, alot of players retire in many dynasties. I'm trying to see if misow can fix this problem and if he can't fix it, then I'm just going to start a new dynasty, simming the first season trying to make the suns record as accurate as possible and play the heat in finals and win then ill start my off-season or i may just skip all that and just start the off-season without caring about the first season, but I'm hoping misow can fix the problem with putting the generated rookies in, then downloaded zach's patch to replace them.

Hope that will work...

AND IT DOES!

Thanks so much misow, I was on the verge of just stopping the dynasty and starting a new one. Thanks for all the help and saving my dynasty. Thanks to Seraph too who fixed the other major problems from the dynasty. So the only thing there is to say is that the free agent signings and everything will be up and I don't think I'll be able to post the draft records because my rookies are so mixed up due to all the dbf editing so that's some bad news for ya. I know some of you want to see the draft coverage, but I won't be able to tell who picked when and everything. But the only thing I can do now is post the free agent signings and resignings then just start the new season.

Philadelphia 76ers Resignings

Samuel Dalembert
11.53 mil for 3 years

2005-06 Outlook: Expect to see alot from Dalembert this season as he now has another player to work with on the front-line in Chris Webber. With a full training camp with Webber, expect to see them establish a good relationship and Dalembert should become a Most Improved Canidate this season. He has the athletic ability to become a great shot blocker as he showed last season and can post a double-double on any given night in the Eastern Conference.

Rodney Rogers
Contract Enlcosed

2005-06 Outlook: Rogers is a solid contributor off the bench for Philly and he should stay that way this season. Most people feel that he is at his best when coming off the bench and don't expect him to start this season with Webber now in the lineup. Rogers has the range to shoot the 3's and has the body to bang on the inside so he will help make the Sixers a deep team in this upcoming season.

Willie Green
8.19 mil for 2 years
Image

2005-06 Outlook: Willie Green was honored as the Sixth Man of the Year last season which is one reason he recieved this big contract. He showed lots of signs last season where he could be one of the best bench players in the league averaging 10.8ppg in 26 minutes. He is a hard worker and can play good defense. He is still pretty young so with a little more time in the league, he can be very dangerous starting this season.

Kyle Korver
7.24 mil for 3 years
Image

2005-06 Outlook: There is alot of speculation on if Korver will be in the starting lineup this seaosn or just a top 7 player off the bench. He started half of the games last season and he is a great shooter. With Rashad McCants coming into the mix, Korver may move to the bench as a backup and just make the Sixers bench deeper. He will definitely be a threat behind the arc this season.

Why did u switch teams?

I was waiting on that question  First off, its because I had already accomplished what I needed to accomplish with Phoenix and I also wanted to work with a team that didn't do so well the year before and try to build them into a good team.

I decided to pick Philly because I wanted build around Iverson and Webber and I like the young talent they have as well like Korver, Green, Iggy etc. And I drafted McCants and Simien so that adds to the youth. I just like this team overall and I was deciding on staying with Phoenix for another year or switching to Philly and that's if I won the championship. So I think this season will be just as exciting as the previous one with a new setting and the fact that I probably won't win 90% of my games

Resignings are up and the free agent signings will be up later on.

Big Free Agent Signings
Bobcats have free agent frenzy

ImageImageImage

There wasn't that many big time free agents available on the list as most of them resigned with their respective teams, but for the ones that did decide to test the market ended up going to the Bobcats most likely. The biggest acqusition for the Bobcats was signing former Suns guard Joe Johnson. They signed him to a 1-year deal for 5.68 mil. Johnson's agent explained that he didn't want to go long-term with Charlotte for now because it all depends on what type of season they have. Joe Johnson won a NBA Championship ring last season with the Suns. The 2nd most important free agent acquistion for Charlotte was Shareef Abdur-Rahim who left the Trailblazers to sign a 52.27 mil with 5 years contract. "I feel that the Bobcats are making a move this year with getting a playoff caliber team together," Rahim said.

Nick Van Exel was on the verge of retiring this season, but the Bobcats picked him up and gave him a surprising big contract worth 14.53 mil for 2 years. Charlotte was said to be looking for veteran leadership by signing Van Exel. Despite the Bobcats signing some key players, the Bucks signed Stromile Swift who was a Grizzlie for his entire NBA career until he became a restrticted free agent in the off-season. He signed a 10.8 mil for 2 years contract. Even though he was looking for a long-term deal, he still recieved the money he was looking for in a short-term deal. Swift may look to explode this season as he has been labeled as a great potential player, but he just hasn't showed it yet. Chicago had a questionable signing by grabbing Damon Stoudamire for 29.22 mil through 3 years. Bulls GM Jim Paxson was unavailable for comments on the signing. The Bulls do have plenty of young point guards on the team to use, but with the contract Stoudamire recieved, he may look to trade one of the guards he already has.

Thanks, I'm glad you like the idea. Should be a good season.

Go, go, go Phily, go Phily...

Looks like I'm getting people to get on the Sixers bandwagon  I'm just happy you were able to fix the dynasty

Sun May 22, 2005 7:26 am

Heh,if you are starting with a new team anyway, you could've just as well given up this one without really caring.

I cared because I wouldn't want a whole season to just go to waste and then just simming through the first season and letting all that time go to waste wouldn't have made any sense. Plus I wanted to keep the same dynasty that I already had because I've started too many dynasties before when a problem went wrong and I just didn't want to go through that.

This is going to be a great new season! Love it that you switched! Maybe you can take philly far!

Thanks, I'm hoping I can do the same with Philly that I did with Phoenix. I love the way my roster is shaping up though where I have a young athletic group of players.

I have some more good news as well, since Mark is helping by doing a little editing for the draft, I can at least post the first round coverage for the draft, but I can't for the 2nd round. The 2nd round wouldn't really that big of a deal though as long as I can get the first round up. I should have that posted by tomorrow or maybe even later on tonight with some nice coverage then my season should be underway.

ye the computer in dynasty mode are dumb, they sign whoever they want that they dont need. like in my other dynasty i had, atlanta drafted chris paul and daniel ewing then after picked up stoudamire and troy bell from free agent. they had paul, stoudamire, delk, ewing, ivey and bell

Sun May 22, 2005 4:22 pm

Wow! It comes as a huge suprise that you're changing teams.

I like the 76ers though, so this should be interesting. No Suns dynasty to follow now though.

Sun May 22, 2005 4:36 pm

good luck with your new team

it's gonna be hard playing as the sixers with the lonely number 3  and a group of average skills players (no offense to those who like the sixers)

one question though....are you planning to make some trades during the season, might be good if you give AI some help :!:

Sun May 22, 2005 11:30 pm

1 word... SICK. Finally, a really good Sixers dynasty for me to follow. You better give AI some help  and make sure Igoudala wins the dunk contest. :P And I always thought of how we could use someone like Simien (or however you spell it) to replace Webber when he leaves.

Sun May 22, 2005 11:41 pm

yeah, it brings something new to ur dynasty :)
let's see if u can compete with the Sixers

Yep, it seems like all that dbf editing really messed alot of stuff up, but I'm just glad I didn't lose my dynasty. Some players that retired, ended up resigning with other teams such as Gary Payton too for some reason. And when I resigned Rodney Rogers, he was still in the FA pool and they made me sign Tyronne Lue so that's what the dbf editing will be about along with re-ordering the draft. Mark is helping me with it so once that is fixed, the official season can begin.

Yea, thats what I wanted a BIG suprise  It's good that alot of people do like the Sixers a little. The Suns may be in trouble this year because Joe Johnson didn't resign and neither did Steven Hunter.

Thanks, and I've gave AI some help this season wihtout any trades so far. Willie Green improved to a 69 a I have alot of depth off the bench with Rogers, Green, Jackson, Simien, Korver. I may start McCants at the SG spot and put Iggy at the SF spot so Korver can come off the bench.

Thanks, I'll try to keep AI around good company  and since I didn't win the dunk contest last year, I want to win it this year with Iggy. I really liked Simien and I want Memphis to pick him up in real life so that's the main reason why I got him because of his rebounding ability.

yeah, it brings something new to ur dynasty

Thanks, and I'm trying to beef the team up

I will be trying to do some updating to the front page once my roster is set and everything and I can start the season. I'm hoping I can start tomorrow if not later on tonight. I'm happy that most people are liking the switch because it just makes it more exciting for the viewers to see a team struggle at times.

I would also like to thank ][]]RAGON for the dornas he made me for the dynasty.

Mon May 23, 2005 12:58 am
