What's the difference between turn up ratings vs next level

What's the difference if I was to play at All-Star rating and mod the db by increasing the offensive rating (for example) compare to playing the game at the Superstar level?? Does Superstar just make them play faster, but not necessary smarter?

Please advise.

On Superstar difficulty, the CPU is aggressive and plays much more intelligently, while it is harder for you to score and make stops. Your teammates will also play less intelligently, often not helping out on D.
