Offensive Rebounding

Sun Nov 17, 2002 8:21 am

Has anyone noticed that there is hardly no offensive rebounding? I've played numerous games and can record no more than one offensive rebound, if that. I've tried tweaking the players.dbf with no success.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

there is avery good thread started by DK on this--all you have to do--is after you shoot switch to the player closes to the basket and time your jump--I've been averaging about 8-10 Offensive rebounds a game--you will not get every O board but you have a chance too--I really like how EA has implemented the offensive rebounds in this game--you do not need to tweak the ratings just learn how to switch to the closes player

That will work, but how can you make guards to grab the O rebound, they never go under the basket.

I can never get triple doubles with backcourt players because of the rebounds

I guess CRASH BOARDS would help backcourt players get bounds

How many points do you guys score in every game?? The CPU and I scored more than 150pts each game, it's killing me, I don't know how to fix it.

Can anyone get offensive board when you misses a free throw?

I don't really get offensive boards but i don't score alot either, i seem to be getting rebounds with Bobby Jackson and Mike Bibby alot as I rush to the basket when a player takes a shot

I got more than 10 offensive board in 10min quarter time. Superstar mode.

my guards got triple double b4.....but its from blocking.....

the highest my PG ever got (using Francis) is 8rebs

as said before there is no problem in off. rebounding, all you have to do is switch to the player under the basket and jump up. if he's in a good position he will get it.

I cant agree more. They implemented the rebounding in a very good way.
The ratio of OFF/DEF rebounds is just right. But you gotta switch to the appropriate player and jump for it.

It's not true that PG cannot get rebounds, it's just difficult for them to get the offensive rebounds(That's realistic  ). If you using players like Kidd or Andre Miller, they can grab plenty defensive rebounds and then run the fast break

i can grab offensive board with my guards as well, playing in superstar mode. Just that I was unable to grab off. boards from miss free throw as I am missing a hell lot of FT.

I just finished playing All-star 6 mins quarter. I had 8 offensive rebounds and 22 defensive rebounds. I had one offensive rebound from missing a free throw and then i scored! :D I am lakers and won Spurs 77-72. It was fun.
