Stack and Artest for T-Mac and Kenny?

Tue Feb 18, 2003 8:15 pm

Should I make this deal, if yes, when?

Wed Feb 19, 2003 12:04 am

no i dont think so
coz stack seems to be doin a lot of scoring, but if you want a younger better player then yes

are you over the cap???
there are good free agents in the off-season??

I think Stack and Tmac have pretty much the same qualities and you will be loosing another big name Artest to get him so i dont think so but as somone said before McGrady will be around for a few more seasons so if thats the plan to go with youth then go for it.

If u do make the trade then u would have to make sure u used tmac to his full potential ie. scoring machine, im not saying stack is not a scoring machine its jst that i rekon mcgrady is better to use in the game. all that aside if it was me i wud trade for tmac but by the look of ur team and the way it looks like u use ur players i wud say keep stack at least till the offseason

I have figured out that the only way I can trade for T-Mac, is to include Artest. If I could, I would put Hughes in the deal instead, but no trade would work because it would push the trade over the salary limit in a trade. Only 2 trades work in a Stack for T-Mac deal:

Stackhouse and Artest for McGrady and Kenny Anderson
Stackhouse and Artest for McGrady and Kedrick Brown

Stackhouse is rated at 93, Artest is 83, T-Mac is 91, KA and Brown are both 78.

I would make a run at Kobe, but I don't wanna risk losing my starting back-court in FA. Kobe and Kidd are in the final year of their deals.

On another note, if I do go ahead with the T-Mac deal, I will not try to get 30+ points a game with him, I will make the Wizards into a very unselfish team and have T-Mac go for 20-25ppg, 4-8rpg, and 5+apg.

That's MVP numbers in my book.

I just played Orlando and T-Mac absolutely schooled Stackhouse. Artest had his normal solid game while Kenny Anderson played like a vet starter should. And Kedrick Brown played well.

I have decided to go with the Stack-Artest for T-Mac-Brown deal. That way I'm trading a 2 guard for a 2 guard and a SF for a SF.

Now what should the starting line-up be?

C- Haywood
PF- Kwame
SF- Kedrick
SG-Tracy
PG- Kidd

or...

C- Haywood
PF- Kwame
SF- Tracy
SG- Hughes
PG- Kidd

hey troy!
how about

C: Stoudemire
Pf: Brown
Sf: T-Mac
Sg: Hughes
Pg: Kidd
?????

that lineup would be unstoppable and u'd be on ur way to a 2nd championship

So far I've gone with this starting line-up:

C- Haywood
PF- Brown
SF- Garrity
SG- T-Mac
PG- Kidd

It has worked well for me especially on the boards because every on the starting line-up except for Kidd is 6'8 to 7'0.

dont do it, dont u think having a super star line up is...boring?
