first time patcher... need help!!!

hi, i'm a newbie at patching in nba live 2003. here's my problem. in nba live 2001, they had an automatic cyberface builder. i created myself using that and with the use of the graphics editor was able to extract the bmp file from the .fsh. now, if i want to create myself in live 2003, what would i need to put myself in there? i don't want to use the create player in the game because i won't have my face in there. i do not really understand what the .o files are, how i can add the arms and legs, which would have the same color as my face, and how i go about creating and installing the index.fsh that i would need. if anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated. i have read two tutorials, the one from nlsc and another one that has been recommeded by others on this forum, but they do not really explain what must be done if a person wants to create a whole new player.

You would have to basically create a new player with your name and stats and what ever. You would then edit the players.dbf file with the nba live toolkit and uncheck the created box. from there you can create a folder in the render\xplayer folder naming it with the first 2 letters of your first name and the first 5 letters of your last name eg. kobe bryant would be kobryan. you would then place your player face pic in their with the same naming scheme eg. kobryan.fsh you do not need to edit any .o files all you have to do is the aforementioned steps to add yourself to the game. you can add a bsho.fsh file for custom shoes and also accessory files to add tattoos and arm and leg bands. you can even place your own legs and arms file in the folder so that you can have a specific body color if you want. I am not sure what the name of that file is I will have to get back with you. I had to do these same steps to add nelly to my game just as a little addon. I was able to create him with only the name nelly as his last name and i imported his specific player face. hope this helps. http://livepatches.allhere.com
