Rockets sweep???

yea, i forgot to mention that tim duncan was hurt heading into the series and he is still hurt, so that would be a major upset for san antonio

Thank God you finally won one. You have to win game 4. Can't go down 3-1.

yea, im still not out of the hunt yet, but being down 3-1 would be better than 3-0

if u'd go down 1-3 it would be really hard to win the series, so u'll better get a big W

with my original starting lineup back, i think we can put up a good fight

Yeah good luck mafia

thanks

I agree with you specially because the 76ers SUCK in your dynasty.
I KNOW NEXT SEASON WILL BE DIFFERENT FOR THEM

as for the most improved, the game only take the stats from the last season....

yea, they didnt even make the playoffs, yet they win 3 awards. they should be different next season though since iggy will just get better and ai was terrible this season, he didnt even average 20ppg. i think he averaged around 18 or 19

He had almost the same stats last season, about 18 and 8. Plus on that screen it shows his shooting percentages.

CK, u right about the percentage, i didnt even really pay attention to that  i guess he decided to stop takin all of those jumpers

Very nice and interesting dynasty! It's a pleasure to read your recaps, keep it up!

thanks huk, im real happy u enjoy the dynasty

Thanks for the support everybody. I will try hard to post the Game 4 pre-game and recap today. Only it's Sunday and that's one of my busiest days. Most likely I will be able to get it done though so you should see something up in about 4-5 hours when my day is winding down.

Sixers got a crap load of awards. Too bad the Suns are gonna get left hanging out to dry.

DENVER (Ticker) -- Road games are the key factors in this series. Each team is undefeated on the road in this series. For some reason, neither team can succeed at home and hold down their court. "It's been a very odd series," Nuggets guard Andre Miller said. "We win road games, but can't win our own home games." During the season, the Nuggets were at the bottom 10 in 3-point shooting with a percentage of 33%. Yet, they have been knocked down big three pointers in the first two games of the series, but Game 3 was a different story. They just shot 5-17 from downtown and looked alot more like the Nuggets team during the season.

The Nuggets are one of the better defensive teams in the league, averaging 6.3bpg during the season which was good enough for no.6 overall in the league. If you put points into perspective in this series, the Nuggets averaged 94.1ppg during the season, while the Suns averaged 106.6ppg. During the series, the Nuggets have scored 111 points twice and the Suns have scored at the 100+ point mark twice. Judging by the stats, the series hasn't been very trustworthy if you were looking at the season series. "The stats show that the season really doesn't matter when your in the playoffs," Nuggets center Marcus Camby said. "Players stepped their games up and that's the cause of the different types of stats."

Joe Johnson made his first start of the playoff series in Game 3 and did a very good job on containing Lenard's 3-point shooting and he ended up with 18 points and 6 rebounds. "I felt no different than the way I felt a couple of months ago," Johnson said. "Game 3 was just the beginning of what you will see from me further on in the series." After tonight's game, the Suns will head back home to either force a Game 6 and go up 3 games to 2. "There are alot of scenarios out there that can happen, but I'm hoping we can go up 3-2 when we head back to Denver," Marion said.

Richardson sealing the game with the 2nd free throw to put the Suns up 98-92

DENVER, Colorado (AP) -- With alot of breath taking plays, and breath taking moments, the game ended with calmly sanked shots by Quentin Richardson of the Phoenix Suns. The 4th quarter play in Game 4 was the most exciting quarter of the series. The game was close throughout the entire quarter with no team getting no more than 8 point lead. "Both teams were fighting hard, we wanted to go up 3-1, and they wanted to tie the series," Denver all-star Carmelo Anthony said. "Unfortunately, we couldn't get the job late in the game and we have to go back to Phoenix and try to win Game 5."

Andre Miller was able to make a short jumper with 8:53 left in the quarter to move the Nuggets within' 76-75. Kenyon Martin gave Denver their first lead of the quarter after maknig a hookshot over Shawn Marion to put them up 85-84 with 5:58 left in the quarter. Stoudemire made 1-2 from the line with 3:28 left as the Suns were down 92-89. Joe Johnson came down after Lenard missed a jumper and tied the game back up with a 3 of his on that gave him 15 points for the game.

The Suns had the ball with 1:12 left in the period and 9 seconds left on the shot clock with the game still tied at 92-92. Steven Hunter set a pick for Johnson at the top of the key and he shot a 3 over Anthony that rolled around the rim then went in to give the Suns a 95-92 advantage. Denver used one of their 3 timeouts with 1:06 left in the game. Andre Miller recieved the ball on the right wing, Martin set a pick for him, then he passed it to Anthony who shot a bomb from the top of the key that rimmed short. Marion grabbed the rebound with 57.7 seconds left. The Suns were running some clock, but found an open Joe Johnson on the wing who shot a jumper but missed and Hunter grabbed the offensive rebound with 40 seconds.

Johnson was found open again in the corner, but was fouled and came up limping after the play. "It was just this sharp pain that went through my foot and it felt like it was going to bust," Johnson said. Barbosa had to come in to shoot the free throws and Johnson went to the bench. Barbosa made the first shot, but missed the 2nd one and Kenyon Martin got the rebound and called a timeout with 23.5 seconds left. Andre Miller recieved the ball near halfcourt and passed it to Lenard who was face up with Richardson who re-entered the game during the timeout. He shot a 3 over him that hit the side of the rim and Stoudemire grabbed the board and passed it to Richardson who was fouled with 16.4 seconds left. Richardson calmly sanked both free throws ot put the Suns up 98-92. Denver used their last timeout of the game. Lenard inbounded it to Martin who quickly launched a 3 that airballed and the Suns ran the clock out. "It was hard fought game, and we did what we planned on doing which was tying the series up. Now it's back to normal and we will take advantage," Stoudemire said.

GAME NOTES: Suns guard Joe Johnson had a minor injury that wasn't going to cause him to miss any games. He had a sore foot and it would take 4 days for it to completely heal, but he will play in Game 5. Suns coach Mike D'Antoni was named the NBA's Coach of the Year before the game who led the Suns to a 64-18 record which is the best record in team history.

That's NBA Live for ya. At least the 6th man of the year wasn't 1.2 ppg. :D

Nice updated. (Y) (Y) Series tied now. Maybe you should take those dynasty points and invest them in a team doctor. :P

Low scoring game for the Phoenix Suns.

kobe didn't make the all-nba teams
well, since his team didn't even lake the playoff i can understand that
i don't think he will get into the teams in real life :|

good luck on the most important game of the series: GAME 5 (Y) 8-)

I know, that would've been a little version of Live 03 mixed with 04

hmm, i didnt think about the team doctor, thats actually a good idea.

Low scoring game for the Phoenix Suns.

yea, i really thought he was going to be hurt for a long period of time again.

kobe didn't make the all-nba teams

good luck on the most important game of the series: GAME 5

well if im not mistaking, his numbers were a little better than pierce's so i thought he could've made it. i think the fact that boston is a no.2 seed in the east helped pierce out alot. thanks for the luck

yea, game 4 was alot of pressure for me. when denver took the lead late, i thought that i was going to lose because they were pullin a cpu glitch  i kno game 5 will be pretty good

Man.. lets see if the Nuggets can win another away... or will u win ur next two? time will tell!

game 5 should be the most interesting game out of the series since both teams are 2-0 on the road. im thinkin about leaving johnson at the starting spot because his foot injury only affected his speed, dunking and things like that, but his shooting stayed at a regular pace

bad to see him getting injured again, but at least, he is able to play in ur next game.

Great job of getting the win !

yea, i think im going to go ahead and get a team doctor for the remainder of the season because if his injury was serious, i would be in trouble

man , Why dont you just sacrifice JJ and put him out of his Mysery?

Good luck in game 5

 u mean my misery, im hurtin more than jj

PHOENIX (Ticker) -- The series is back at the even mark and things will just keep getting interesting. Tonight's game will be the most important equally to each team. Both teams will look to take a 3-2 game lead and only become one win away from advancing to the 2nd round. With the Suns holding an 0-2 record at home during this season, they will look to get a win for the home crowd tonight. "The fans have came out and supported us each and every game this year, and for us to lose both of those games earlier in the series shouldn't have happened," Stoudemire said. "We would like to dedicate Game 5 to the fans and I guarentee a victory tonight, just like I guarenteed we would win 4 straight." Joe Johnson was hurt once again in Game 4, but he did practice yesterday on his sore left foot. "It's not as bad as other people think, but I will definitely play tonight," Johnson said.

The Suns have been doing alot of conditioning in practice to try and stop those nagging injuries from occuring. "We do not need for someone to seriously get injured no more," Suns coach D'Antoni said. "We've had Stoudemire, Barbosa and Johnson (twice) injured this season. Two of the 3 injuries were very serious that caused those players to miss games." Only the worse can happen now for the Suns if another player ends up missing some games due to injury. Phoenix has a did a great job containing the Nuggets energizer bunny, Earl Boykins during this series. He has only averaged 2.3ppg and 1.5apg in the series and around 14mpg. Andre Miller's performance during the series has took minutes away from Boykins. "I don't mind not getting the same playing time that I was getting in the series because if Dre' is stepping his game up, it's helping the team and I'm all about the team," Boykins said. "Dre' and I are good friends on the team and he knows that I'm happy about the way he has been playing." With San Antonio already out in the first round from a sweep by the Houston Rockets, the Suns have a greater chance at winning the West.

Marion and the Suns returned home and were able to get their first home win of the series

PHOENIX, Arizona (AP) -- Stoudemire had scored his 20th point of the game after taking a hookshot over Camby in the post to give Phoenix their largest lead of the game at 79-62 with 9:16 left in the 4th. Then, with just under six minutes left in the game, the Nuggets missed 3 straight layups and the Suns came down and fed Stoudemire the ball who made the shot in the paint to put the Suns up 87-69. This was just a couple of things that Stoudemire did for Phoenix in the 2nd half of this game to help the Suns go up 3-2 in the series. He scored 8 of his 29 points in the 4th quarter and 17 in the 2nd half. "I'm the one that made the guarentee, so I have to do my duty when I have the ball down low," Stoudemire said. "We have been playing great as a team and hopefully we can keep it up."

Despite Steve Nash fouling out at the 5:08 mark after being called for a reach in foul on Andre Miller. The Suns never allowed the Nuggets to make in serious run in the final five minutes that would make the game nerve reckon for fans. Shawn Marion left hand layup with 1:58 remaining in the game, gave the Suns a 92-76 lead and that basically sealed their 3rd straight victory. "Nash did a great job when he was in the game dishing the ball, and that's why he is on the NBA-First Team," Suns forward Shawn Marion said. "It's very exciting to know that we are one game away from advancing to the 2nd round, but we can't let that keep us from working hard in Game 6."

Marion was doing it all on the court just as he been doing throughout the entire series. He finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals. "That's a complete game for ya," Suns coach Mike D'Antoni said. He also did a great job on Kenyon Martin defensively holding him to just 9 points in the game. "Shawn played well tonight," Martin said. "I wasn't expecting me to have such a bad game and I took it upon myself for the reason why we loss." Denver was basically ice cold from the field, shooting 38% and no one on the team scored no more than 18 points. The points per game leader in the series, Carmelo Anthony, was held to 15 points. Marcus Camby led Denver in scoring with 18 points. Game 6 will be held in Denver and Phoenix will look to knock the Nuggets out, or Denver will win a home game and force a Game 7. The number one seed in the East, Indiana Pacers have already been knocked out by the Orlando Magic in a 4-1 series.
