Live '06 needs to allow both the human controlled teams and cpu controlled teams in dynasty to update jerseys. Teams need a "fresh look" every 6-8 years or so, and the best way to make the user actually feel that they are advancing in their dynasty, is to see not only their teams jerseys change, but teams around the leagues changing their jerseys. Dynasty mode needs to be able to make the user feel like they are prgressing. I can only do 2 or 3 seasons in dynasty, before it gets repetitive. The N.B.A is constantly changing, so the logos, teams, team colours, team jerseys, teams city, even team name should change in Dynasty mode.

please ea, look at the in game dunks, for example: Lebron does a two handed boring dunk, and in training he dunks al the cool ones let those high flyers do more real life dunks.

I want more create-a-player options for example: more hair and facial hair styles, more skintones more shoes, avalability to change jersey to suit or shirt and pants in practice and 1-on-1 modes.

One thing I liked in 2003 is the reaction of the coach when a big play happens. I think if it's a tight game and let's say Ben Gordon hits a three to give the Bulls the lead, the announcer should show a little more emotion, and they should show the bench reacting to it and the players on the court should give each other high-fives and head slaps...it would be cool.

As a fan of the NBA Live series, there is one issue that I want EA to at least consider. Sure, there are the usual gripes about gameplay and graphics and sounds so I won't dwell on them. I would instead focus on one thing that was mentioned in the earlier threads but not much emphasized.
The NBA has summer league and pre-season games to, in my opinion, let the teams determine their chemistry and rookie performances without the fear of losing from day 1. The team could then determine how to approach a rookie and how to tweak their roster come openning time.
To make my point short, I just want to ask why did EA Sports did not include any summer league or pre-season games for the NBA Live Series? As a player, I find it annoying to draft a player with knowing if he is good or what (which was fixed to some extent in the rookie camp of '05) or not knowing how he would fit in my roster. One quality of a good GM is to know how a rookie would fit into the team and see to it that this rookie could make the necessary requirements for the team. Too often I am forced to release a player from my team either because he didn't fit or a play that does not exploit his strengths was being used. It may seem a bit simple or a trifle matter, but hey, even LeBron and Melo and Kobe and Shaq, Yao and McGrady, Emeka and Dwight and even His Airness out of retirement again has to STOP PLAYING at one point or another in their lives. If they do, what becomes of my team or our teams to be general? I don't want to draft a Vladimir Stepania into my team. I also do not want Darko Milicic at a time I needed him most. I needed a Damon Stoudamire, a LeBron if I'm lucky, another incarnation of His Airness if I am luckier. What we all get are either long term projects or player with inadequate talent. So we all gotta wait for the rare Excellent draft depth to come and try to orchestrate a Scottie Pippen for Olden Polynice style trade. Believe me, it's annoying.

My guess is that such features are in the future of Dynasty Mode. This year Dynasty Mode was rebuilt from the ground up with a new calendar based offseason interface and player negotiations. It's a solid foundation that I expect EA to build upon over the next few games, adding features such as a pre-season and expanded training camp.

Yeah, I do hope so. I guess we should just keep on suggesting it to them and they try to improve on it. It is a good thing that a lot of players are also programmers and they try to improve the little things they want to like the good old training camp patch in 2004 where I can train my players without the fear of losing points.
I forgot to mention that they might consider granting the players the ability to deal future picks like a 1st rounder two years from now and so on. It would add depth to the already deep team management mode.

there should be a create a team feature where college logos can be used
and in the dynasty mode after a couple years of progess you should be able to create or buy new team logos.
the blocks should be better, as an example when being blocked you shouldn't be getting fouled.you should also be able to pin the basketball against the backboard when blocking a dunk or lay-up.
Also during a game where there is a rivalry between teams or players the rivalry should come out like if you bust a three in a rivals face you should start talking trash and trying to single out the rival in different plays and possessions like on defense pin your rivals dunk then when you are on offense they play harder defense and try to redeem themselves and in the playoffs in dynasty mode there should be like an espn interview to discuss thoughts about the other teams and their players

1. Have all players have 4 percentages: Post up, Drive, Jump Shot, 3 pter. to determine the type of player they are. For example Shaq should have near 99 post up and KG should have a very high jump shot. I don't want KG to be a super tricked out crossing over AI-type guard! I want him to take jump shots!
2. Have team styles depending on the coach. A Phil Jackson team must use triangle unless you force him to change to another style. (And if the style is radically different to the type of player or type of coach, it might fail miserably.)
3. Have players develop/get worse every few games instead of having to wait for the off-season for changes in player progress.
4. Any way we could have something like arrows or stuff explaining the play when we press a play button? (In single player or co op only) For example, if I press Basket Cut, it should show some player with an arrow heading towards the basket.
5. Make steals resonable, and make players rely on stopping the play rather than stealing to get possesion!

I was thinking about that :
- More options in the post, and a little easier than in Live 2005, in '05 it's quite hard to score in the post.
- Possibility to choose team strategies BEFORE the game and not during the game.
- Possibility to switch between TNT and ESPN presentations (I don't think it'll be possible, but who knows ?)
- Better Create-a-player mode, same hair for every skin, for example, not afro for only the darkest skin. More hairstyles, be able to select preset faces or build face option (like in Pro Evolution Soccer 4). Possibility to change the NBA logo's position on the headbands. More realistic armbands, more detailed, wristbands have to be a little longer, bicep bands have to be a little longer. Possibility to choose between low bicep bands and high bicep bands (Ben Wallace).
- Add every single rule, possibility to select the seconds for the shotclock if someone wants to play with 24 seconds like in the old time.
- More detailed jerseys, not like in Live '05, they were too blurry.
- More classic jerseys.
- Add some classic courts and classic teams, as the Chicago Bulls from the 95/96 season.
- Every patching tool included with the game (it'd be great if it'll happen)

Technical fouls can be deliberately made right after a referee call by the coach and he gets ejected. When using the intentional foul button at driving opponents too many times, this increases the chance of a flagrant foul. Ejection can pump up the team but at a trade-off: more strength/speed/quickness but less awareness for a quarter's time.
Player animation for foul calls, turnovers, and clutch shots during critical plays
Basically more animations that expresses the players' frustrations and celebrations when the ref calls a flagrant/technical foul, close out of bounds possession calls, and down-the-wire shooting.
AI awareness of opponent's height
Especially for jumpshooters, I don't think Bibby would run right up to KG and put up a jumper like it is right now. Instead, he should be aware of his height and make adjustments such as pump fakes, pull-backs, double-pump in the air, etc. Also, in season mode, if you have a 5'6" player with 99 blocks, he'll lead the league in blocks, which is ludicrous.

A custom 5'6 player with 99 blocking is automatically disqualitfied for any blocks, even if he is facing a 5'7 player. Blocking should take into account of the following: jumping ability, and quickness, regardless of height. The blocking attribute should be just about how accurate the blocker's hand touch the ball (ie: blocking accuracy). So, it should possible for a 5'6 player to block a 6'11 player if he 1) has high enough jumping, quickness, and blocking attribute 2) jumps earlier than the 6'11 player 3) the 6'11 player is stupid enough to go up anyway, 4) the higher the blocker's awareness and stamina level, the less likelyhood of fouling. If a player has low blocking, 1) making the block attempt at the right time and 2) a high awareness and stamina level should disrupt the shooter significantly, thus reducing the FG percentage.
Lower all players' stats
A player with 99 FG should be a God. Bryant is a damn good player, but no one besides customized players should be allowed to have 99 of anything. Kobe should be a 79-82.
Saving slider profiles
Currently there are two defaults: Action and Simulation. First of all, Simulation isn't really simulation, it's more like Action. And the Action preset is just comical (get Street instead). Ditch the current Action preset, rename the Simulation to Action, and make a real Simulation preset. And customized sliders should also be savable as presets.

nba live 2006 needs windmill dunks in 5-on-5 mode. I dont understand why they never thought of putting it in the game before.

It would also be nice if the computer in dynasty mode drafts players to fill its weakness instead of just drafting them 'cause they are next on the list of top players.

. the auto replay system sucks, usually only a 3 pointer or dunk is showed, but the crossover or assist that leads to it is not. Why?

.the STATS are serious FLAWED in NBA Live 2005 I really don't care to see the school my player attended 200 times during gameplay. point totals for the game or foul totals would be nice. even interesting facts would be welcome.
.the NBA store is a chore to navigate, a click through for the PC version would be nice.

We should bring a bit of Ballers in this. Put a house feature where someone has a house and then you have a cool cinematic. (Ex: Duncan goes to Shaq's house in Miami and Duncan says: Hey, I just came here to give you good luck on ur game tomorrow cuz ur gonna need and Shaq says: Oh... yeah...we'll just see....) Brign a bit of hatred in it 
And then at the end of the game let's say the Heat win and Shaq at the end of the game tells him: Told ya we'd win! And bring like Locker Footage. Like when a team wins or loses, you can go in the lockers and see their reaction towards the interviewers. NOW THAT'D BE SICK!

I just want strategic play making on defense and offense. I would like to tell my players to let the big men get after rebounds after offensive plays and keep two or three guys back to protect the fast break against teams like Phoenix. Let it be my call. I want more control over my team(put my stamp on games, so I'll have teams playing my way). I'm the coach and I want to run it my way. I want more authentic plays for individual teams, let's get basketball for real. Oh yeah, it should implement some kind of over the back foul call, which just call it if someone jumps over your back and prevent you from getting to a rebound(though Live's collision doesn't actually call for this) it would be nice anyway.

One more important thing... FACIALS!! I want Kobe over Howard! I wnt T-Mac over Bradley! I want Josh Smith on Brezec! I NEED THESE! I wish Live 06' had some better collision mechanism, because right now, no matter what, you can't really 'dunk on anybody', and it's annoying. PLEASE HAVE THIS! IMO, one of the more important things. What better way to pump up your team/arena than to have Kobe dnuk on Shaq?! BRING IT!!! Come on EA. Add this to the game. Also, create a team as stated, and much mroe control over your teams tendencies and strategies as well. Maybe a crib feature, but maybe not. Also, better AS- Week-End.
