no point starting a new thread to post a pic or two....my mate in NZ just sent me some pics from last month's infamous party that I went to down at the Gold Coast in which my aforementioned mate ended up in lockup....

the story....

yeah, my mate got pretty munted....he doesn't know what happened or how he got arrested....fortunately no charges were laid as it was just for being too drunk I guess....I figure he fell down some stairs or something....not sure....or got into a fight....who knows....it's a mystery....

we were at the Gold Coast at the Rose and Crown for a 30th b-day party with some chick who he flatted with when he was in the UK for about 2 years....party went off, and we drank copious amounts of grog....

the main problem my mate had was he had some shots with me, which I warned him not to

I warned him before we had the 1st shot of bacardi 151, chartreus & tobasco sauce....I gave him the hell warnings before the 2nd one, which we did after he had forgotten we had already had the 1st shot, and after it, that was the last I saw of him....

good to catch up with him though....some classic memories that will live on....he's on a plane at the mo and still feeling effects of the night, as am I a little bit....but the mystery of what happened to him will remain....

and get this, the lockup charged him $7 for locking him up for the night....cheaper than a backpackers I guess

yep, the pics refreshed some of the vague memories that I had of that night....

most of people in those pics I had just met that night....pretty cool people actually....I always seemed to have a new drink in my hand everytime I looked down and I woke up the next morning and had not spent that much money....I must have been shouted most of the night instead of the birthday girl

yeah, that guy was a spinner....I think he was a 19 year old plasterer from the Gold Coast....ended up scoring one of the German backpackers at our hotel room....guess he lucked out with the metro guy and the German backpacker was the next best option
