Wade is a very athletic player who can play the 1 of the 2. Nash ability to penetrate could possibly cause some problems fro Wade and the Heat. If Nash can get past Wade and force Shaq to come out of the paint, it can cause alot of damage to the Heat. Wade's 3-point percentage has dropped from last year's total, shooting 22% from downtown.

PHOENIX, Arizona (AP) -- The Miami Heat may be growing a bit road-weary. The way the Phoenix Suns are clicking, it may not have mattered. Amaré Stoudemire was held from playing too much against Shaq and only played 13 minutes for the game. Quentin Richardson and Steve Nash made sure that they were still going to win the game without Stoudemire. Richardson had a team-high 25 points and 8 rebounds, while Nash scored 23 points and dished out 6 assists as the Suns bolted to an early lead and cruised to a 114-88 triumph over the Heat, their seventh straight win. The anticipated matchup of the top teams in each conference was no contest. The league-leading Suns (31-4) ran the Heat ragged, racing to a 62-44 lead after the first two quarters and never looked back.

Shawn Marion added 16 points for Phoenix, which has lost once in 19 games since Dec. 5. The Suns improved to 16-2 at home and 13-1 vs. the Eastern Conference. "We had a good game," Suns coach Mike D'Antoni said. "All four guys played well with Stoudemire out most of the game and the two bench guys (Jim Jackson and Walter McCarty) played well. We are back to running like we did the first part of the year." The start is the sixth-best in league history and best since the 1996-97 Chicago Bulls -- a team that went on to win 69 games and an NBA championship. Phoenix already has two more wins than they mustered all of last season. "I think this was the best we've played all year against a championship caliber team, especially in the first quarter," Marion said. "We were doing our thing, knocking down shots ... Everybody was into the game from the tip off. It was rowdy, like a playoff atmosphere, and we were playing ball. We have been playing great defense during this winning streak."

"This is probably our best stretch we have had all year," D'Antoni added. "Now they understand it and they are taking care of it. We told them this is something special and you don't have it in your career too often so you better take care of it. They are milking the moment and hopefully it will last as long as it can." Phoenix used just seven players and got 35 points from its bench. Miami, in the midst of a five-game West Coast road swing, shot 45 percent (34-of-75) from the field but missed eight of 13 three pointers. Shaquille O'Neal led the Heat (21-16) with 22 points - making 10-of-21 shots - and grabbed 14 rebounds. Dwyane Wade added 11 points for the Heat. "We got dominated right from the get go," Miami coach Stan Van Gundy said. "It was a difficult game, they beat us everywhere. They defended better then us, rebounded better then us, then ran very well. It was total domination and there wasn't an area where I felt we outplayed them."

yea his stamina went down real quick since he had the injury so there was no use of using him especially if he had to guards shaq. good thing i made that trade at the right time because both jimmy and walter been stepping up big for me with amare hurt.

Yea I play for my JV and varsity team in memphis. we 25-4 and playing in the division tournament right now and after that we will head to state.

amare took one shot and went to the line twice, but because of his injury, he gets tired very quickly. i dont want to risk him getting hurt even worse by going inside with him and risking him getting fouled real hard and being out longer. so thats why i want to rest him a little more so he can come back quicker. right now his duration is at around 2-3 days so hopefully he'll be ready next game and i can get him more involved.

The two players will meet up for the 3rd time already in 3 months. Stoudemire's foot injury may give Boozer more of an advantage in this game, but if he can get a little more minutes tonight, he can become pretty affective. Boozer has continuously played well in all 36 games for the Jazz averaging a team-high 20.7ppg and 12.7rpg

Every since acquriring Jim Jackson and Walter McCarty, the Suns bench production has sky rocket. With the previous injury to Stoudemire, the bench has stepped up and played a huge roll in the past few games.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AP) -- Mehmet Okur gave the Utah Jazz something the Phoenix Suns desperately needed - production off the bench. Okur had 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds as the Jazz posted a 101-86 victory over the Suns, who had a seven-game winning streak snapped. Playing one day after a 114-88 home win over Miami, Phoenix once again got virtually nothing from its backups. Jim Jackson, Walter McCarty and Steven Hunter were the only reserves to log more than 19 minutes as Utah held a 21-17 edge in bench points. "Utah's a pretty deep team," Suns point guard Steve Nash said. "They've got Okur coming off the bench, and he's basically a starter. He lit us up tonight. Everybody from the perimeter got it going for them. "I thought they played extremely hard, much harder than we did. I don't know if it was fatigue, but they certainly played harder than we did. We never seemed to have any spark."

The fatigue began to show at the end of the third quarter. After Joe Johnson and Amare Stoudemire converted consecutive three-point plays to cut the deficit under double digits, the Jazz scored six straight points to close the period. Raja Bell hit a pair of free throws before point guard Howard Eisley made a driving layup with three seconds left in the quarter. Hunter lazily tried get the ball inbounds Matt Harpring made the steal and layup at the buzzer to push the lead further in the Jazz favor.

"We had a melt-down in the last 35 seconds of the third quarter that killed us," Nash said. "We gave up a couple of baskets and then turned it over in the last second to give them another layup. That was big." Joe Johnson scored 17 points and Marion collected 15 and 9 rebounds for Phoenix, which got no closer than eight in the fourth quarter until Richardson's meaningless three-pointer in the game's waning seconds. "We've got to try to find ways to win games even when we don't have our legs," Nash said. "It would have been nice to get it going defensively, but we never did, and they got their confidence going and they gave it to us."

INDIANA, Indianapolis (AP) -- The league-leading Phoenix Suns looked lost once again in tonight’s game. Reggie Miller showed no signs of retirement scoring 32 points as the Suns were routed by his Indiana Pacers, 107-87, in their lowest output of the season. Amare Stoudemire scored 23 points but just two in the fourth quarter for Phoenix (31-6), which has dropped consecutive games for just the second time this season and failed to reach the century mark for one of the few times that it has happened this season. "We need this," Stoudemire said. "It's a little bit of a wake-up call, especially on defense. We have to play hard for 48 minutes and learn to do better at things like closing out shooters."


The Pacers were ready for this one, after losing to the Suns just 5 days ago. They were startled, 106-95, in Phoenix. But Indiana never trailed in the rematch, shooting 65 percent (13-of-20) from the field in the first quarter. Artest scored 12 points in the period as the Pacers built a 33-21 lead. "With those guys, if you run up and down the floor with them, there's no way you are going to beat them," O'Neal said. "You have to make them play half-court offense and wear them down of defense, and that's what we did tonight."

The Suns closed to 57-46 at the break, then Indiana took control in the third quarter, opening a 77-61 on Jermaine O’neals’ jumper. "The difference between this game and the first one is about 40 points," D'Antoni said. "We are struggling a little bit and we aren't playing real fluid right now. We have to toughen up. Of course, putting Stoudemire back into playing his regular minutes is a factor." Jermaine O’neal scored 12 points and Tinsley added 15 and six assists for the Pacers, who held the Suns to 42 percent (33-of-78).
