Game crash

Hey, whenever I go into the Edit Player section, and try to edit players on the free agent list, the game crashes to desktop. I am using a recent NLSC roster (with some of my own adjustments, and created Antoine Rigaudeau). Has anyone else had this problem? Also, I sent the player.dbf to a friend's computer, and the same thing happened to him, so I know its not a problem with my computer.

Did you use MS Excel to edit players.dbf? If so, you may have corrupted the file by saving it incorrectly, which would lead to the problems you are having.

No, I didn't use Excel. I have some experience with editing dbf files, so I know not to do that.
To add a new wrinkle to mystery, if I go into the Created Players List screen, and select a free agent to edit, the game will let me access the free agent list for editing. It seems that the problem only occurs when I am in the Edit Player screen and try to move from Atlanta or Washington to the FA list.
