Crwod And The Home Court Advantage

Thu Jan 30, 2003 6:32 am

I just found out the coolest thing, that if your team is not playing good, then the fans are starting not to come to your games, and your court gets empty. and if your team is playing good, then your home court is full.
so, my question is:
Does your home court gives you any advantages on the other team?

Yes it does matter. The game is made so that the away team will play about 5% worse then they normally do. Sometimes we i play the same team at their court, they got better. If i play them on my court, they shoot worse. It does matter if you win. When i was the nuggets, nobody came. After my record was at 10-5, many people came.

The more people, the worse the away team will play

There's a rating in teams.dbf (HOMEADV) that determines how much being at home affects a team's abilities. Teams with higher ratings will naturally be much better when you play them at home (I'm not sure if the difference is as noticeable if you're controlling the team with the higher home court advantage though).
