Yeah, he sure has. Sometimes I wonder if he'll ever feel the love again....

Now, we've talked quite enough about Kobe to last us three full seasons, this is about the Bulls. You know who my fav Bull is? That kid Nocioni, what a tough, smart player. Let the haters hate, in about 2 years the Bulls will be what the Wizards are now. Young, energetic and talent out of this world.

Skiles is fabulous with the X's and O's and seems to be able to walk that fine line between discipline and raising the young pups. This is the first season in a long time that I can actually say that the Bulls are a pleasure to watch. Andres Nocioni, Andres Nocioni, Andres Nocioni, Andres Nocioni, Andres Nocioni!!! I LOVE that kid!

After the 0-9 start and wins peppered here and there, the first win in the streak was nice by itself. Extending it to five and counting (there's the jinx, right there) is so much sweeter. Part of me is thinking hanging around and making a push for the 8th spot, especially with a lot of home games in the near future, but I feel it's still a little early to be confident about something like that. Nevertheless, it's fantastic to see them playing so well (hopefully some PonTels will arrive soon and I will actually see them playing well) and they've certainly got a chance to continue their run and put themselves in position to set higher goals (again, jinx alert).

I think Chicago is looking at 10th spot by the end of the season at best.

8th seed would be a surprise but a good one.
I think Skiles is doing the right thing with the team. It's a young core but with good fundamentals and university experience (duhon holds the record of games played with duke, Deng, Gordon, Hinrich, Nocioni has a lot of experience too...and Curry and Chandler have been in the nba for some time now.)
So it's very promising team that needs time but i think they are on the right track (finally...).

The last couple of losses have been close though, which I find strangely comforting. They've had quite a few double digit losses so far this season where the margin has been around 20 points. For them to be competing until the final buzzer is something...it's a real shame about the Nets game.

The bulls wont make the playoffs this year, but next year they have a good shot

ben gordon, chris duhon and luol deng will all be very good players next year.

Living in chicago though i hear every year "this is the year they are gonna make the playoffs i guarentee it!!!"

every year they arent even close.

Great win over Orlando.

Hinrich 18 and 9 with 3 steals and only 2 turnovers. And kept the Franchise to only 12 points.

Hasnt taken a backwards step in his career. (Y)

can i get an over the back call on detroit too :x

mark jackson on nba fastbreak said hinrich is a hybrid of stock/hornacek and will be just as good as them :o

Hasnt taken a backwards step in his career.

i'm all for seeing him improve but he sure gets a big break from the chicago media for shooting under 40% from the field :x

I'm aware that i'll get assassinated for making the comparison, but I'll make it anyway.

Jason Kidd, through his first two seasons, FG%: 38.28
Kirk Hinrich, through his first two seasons, FG%: 39%

I'm not really a numbers fan, but their scoring averages at this point in both their careers (i.e. their second seasons) compare favourably. The assists and rebounds and steals arent close yet, but hopefully that will come.

I'm not saying that Kirk should even be mentioned in the same breath as Jason Kidd. But he's coming along really well and things do look much brighter for him.

As good as Stockton and Hornacek would be fantastic.

Let's hope Gordon sees more PT soon.

Steve Nash has gone from "a poor man's John Stockton" to one of the best point guards in the league, so perhaps Hinrich will continue to grow in the same way with Kidd as the flattering comparison.

The way I look at it, it's probably easier to teach someone to shoot better than it is to teach them to read the game well. In most team sports a player who understands the workings of the game can more than make up for small deficiencies in talent in other areas. And lets face it, Kirk's numbers from beyond the arc are reasonable, it's really only the mid-range game he needs to work on.

For the Bulls to really develop though, Gordon needs to be put on the court more often, and Curry needs to get more consistent or get traded.

Yeah, I agree with that. Kirk, despite leading the team in scoring, probably shouldnt be looked at as the team's go-to guy. Even though the Bulls don't really have much of a choice. Ben Gordon is a better option down the stretch. But he is still a rookie.

Eddy Curry has improved a lot over the last 3 seasons. But he isn't the dominating presence that somebody his size with his athleticism should be.

Either he doesnt want to work with the Bulls or he's never going to be the player they need him to be.

Either way, he does need to be dealt. That's the first time I've said that. And hopefully the last.
