I understand. I hope to still see updates from you. And, don't worry about the NLSC stuff- I'm sure we'd much rather see updates to your Dynasty than have our own faces in it, and you stressed out.
Just get back to the point that it can be fun again
Wed Dec 15, 2004 9:32 am

We want you to be still part of the community is the foremost so if you're feeling a bit of burn out...just kick it for awhile and ENJOY THE GAME!!
...and of course, to submit your pstat files

Los Angeles Lakers (15-10) Will Host Miami Heat (13-15)At Christmas Day
Bryant vs. Oneal Part I
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) Dec 25--This maybe the biggest Christmas gift basketball enthusiast could get. Los Angeles Lakers will meet Shaq and the Miami Heat for the first time this season. This was the most anticipated games in this NBA season not for both team but also all around the league and even around the world.
O’Neal, who demanded a trade after a contact extension negotiation failed and the Lakers organizations, opted to build around the much younger Bryant to lead the Lakers franchise.
When O’Neal was officially introduced as a Miami Heat player, Shaq promised to bring a championship to his new team. He was very motivated to keep his promise and it was evidently saw when Shaq report a pre-season camp a lean, fit Shaq.
Tonight when Shaq meets his former team, he will try to prove that the Lakers organization made a big mistake in trading him. But he will have to do by playing not 100%. Shaq got injured in Heat last game. With Shaq not 100%, he will need some help especially Wade, who will also faced his 3 former teammates, and Jones, a former teammate and friend of Bryant.
Lakers, on the other, will also have players who will try to prove something. Odom, Butler and Grant will face their former team which they help reached the playoff last season. Divac also will try to stop Shaq by playing good defense and some flopping.
But all eyes will be on Kobe. He might goes up against Jones or Wade but it will still be Kobe vs. Shaq in this game. Bryant and Shaq tried to get along during their times in LA. With both on the team, Lakers won 3 championships and played in Finals 4 of the last 5 years. And those successful will be credited to both players.
Many said Shaq can't win with out Bryant. Also goes with Bryant, we will never win without Shaq. Well if both can't win a championship without each other. Maybe they might be fighting who will be more successful with their own team and career.
Tonight's Key Matchup:
Shaquille O’Neal vs. Kobe Bryant
This will be the first time this former dynamic duo will face each other. O’Neal was motivated to prove the Lakers organization that he’s still the most dominant player in NBA today. And they were wrong to let a stubborn kid to carry the Lakers to the promise land. But Bryant was also motivated to do well this season, even more motivated than Shaq. He want to prove, not just Shaq, Jackson, Allen and even Malone and Payton, but the whole world that he can carry his own team and be a winner like he always was.

Miami Heat @ Los Angeles Lakers

Bryant goes for a fancy 360 dunk while O'Neal made a 2-handed thunderous dunk.
Los Angeles Lakers, wearing their 1961-62 home jersey, started the game aggressively especially Bryant. Bryant scored 12 points to give the Lakers an early 8 points. While Miami Heat, wearing their 1990-91 away jersey seems can’t get their game going. Shaq took an early rest as he still bothering by his injury. He only played 3 minutes (on possible 9 minutes) in this quarter. By the end of the quarter, Lakers were enjoying a 26-14 lead.
Shaq continued to sit most of the minutes in the bench. Without their best player, Heats looked lost and seems like this game was heading for a Christmas blowout. Odom, an ex-Heat payer, put some show in the 2nd period. It seems like Odom asking the Heat if they remember how good a player he is as he and Lakers build a 18 point lead, 48-30.
KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF
O’Neal, who saw limited minutes in the 1st half, showed some bright spot for all Heat fans as he scored 6 consecutive baskets including one thunderous dunk. Lakers, on the other hand, came in the 2nd half relax and didn’t play as good as the 1st half. In result, they saw their 18 point lead cut to only 10 points. But a good run in the end of the period helped the Lakers to extend their lead back to 15 points.
Shaq dominates the last quarter and helped the Heat to cut the lead to single digit. They even made it just a 5 point deficit form a 3-point shot by Jones. But Bryant assured the Lakers fans to have a good Christmas day as he single-handedly carried the team. He scored 17 points in this quarter mostly on free-throws.
Lakers won the game 105-97 behind Bryant 47 points, a season-high, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Odom added 26 points while Divac made a decent job on containing O’Neal and for his rebounding as he grabbed 13 rebounds.
Wade carried the team in the 1st half as Shaq saw limited minutes due to his injury. Wade finished with 21 points. O”Neal led the team with his 25 points on 12 of 14 shooting. He also grabbed 10 rebounds for a double double performance.
