“We're sad to part way with Rush but he think he will have a greater career in Charlotte. Bobbitt will be a great additon for us. He will give the outside shooting and defense in our guard positions ”, Coach Rudy T said.
Los Angeles Clippers will have lots of motivation to win this game. They want to make a revenge on their lost agaisnt the Lakers on their first meeting. Also they are on 2 game lsing skid including that embarrassing lost to Charlotte Bobcats. And lastly, it willbe the first time Kerry Kittles and Lonny Baxter will play. Kittles was acquired in Nets last off-season while Baxter were sign yesterday.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Los Angeles Clippers
Magette was unstoppable in this game,
scoring 34 points to lead all scorers.
This game was a run and gun type of game. With just 2 minutes gone in the 1st period, Lakers already scored 14 points while the Clippers have 10 points and this game was heading for a high scoring game. But the scoring subsided in the next few minutes and both teams struggled in the game. The 1st period ended at 24-23 in favor of the Clippers. Odom scored 12 points while Magette led his team with 11 points.
Both Magette and Odom went cold in the 2nd quarter. They both held scoreless in this period. But another players from both side stepped up, Simmons scored 13 of his 18 points in this quarter while Grant tallied 10 points for the Lakers. Bryant struggled as he was hobbled by foul trouble. At halftime, the score was 44-43 with Lakers on the driver’s seat.
KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF
Lakers missed their last 8 shots and were held scoreless for about 4 minutes without a basket in the 3rd quarter. As a result, the Lakers now faced a 12 point deficit, 44-56. Magette again came big for the Clippers but got a big help from Jaric and Brand. Bryant only scored 4 points in the game, 2 came in this quarter. Bryant was called for his 4th foul but Coach Rudy T let him stay in the court. Bryant then led a run, not by scoring but with his passing. Odom and Atkins was the recipient of his assists. But when Bryant got his 5th foul and sat on the bench, Clippers again up their lead to 10 points. In the end of the quarter, Lakers trailed by 6 points, 67-61.
Lakers were looking good as they cut the deficit to a single basket. But the Clippers made a 11-2 run to put the Clips ahead again by double digit. Bryant never took over the game as he always did, scored only 5 points to finish with 9 points, first time this season he wasn’t able to get double digit in scoring. With Bryant struggling, the whole team struggles and loss this one. Mageette scored 34 points to led the Clippers in scoring.
Some Screenshots from the Game
Atkins was aggresive to score in this game.
Alley-oops from Jaric to Brand
Bobbitt first 2 points in his NBA career.
Baxter blocked Cook lay-up.
Brand lost his personal battle again Odom but still happy to get the W.
Odom carried the scoring load with Bryant struggling.
Bryant, blocked from behind, finished with only 9 points beofore fouling out.

Los Angeles Lakers (11-8) Will To Get Even When They Host Orlando Magic (11-8)
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) Dec 12--Los Angeles Lakers will try to avenge their loss again the Orlando Magic. Lakers were coming form a loss to the Clippers in which we saw the worst game of Kobe Bryant this season. In their 1st meeting at Orlando, the Lakers lost 89-68. It was one of the ugliest game they played.
Orlando Magic were coming form a win against the Golden State Warriors and are trying to get their 3rd win in 4 games. Magic's backcourt have done wonderful job as both averaging a little less than 20 points per ballgame. Rookie Howard and comebacking Grant Hill also putting up good numbers. They dominate the Lakers in their 1st meeting and will try to duplicate it tonight
Tonight's Key Matchup:
Cuttino Mobley vs. Kobe Bryant
In their 1st meeting, Mobley was the player of the game and completely dominates his match-up against Bryant. ALso his coming off a big game against the Warriors were he scored 25 points. Bryant, on the other, was coming form his worst game this season. He just finished with only 9 points on 3 of 16 shhoting and was not a factor in that game. If he continue to put those numbers, Lakers will be in the wrong position to win this game.
Probable Starters:
Orlando Magic (Season Stats)
C-kelvin Cato- 5.2 PPG, 8.7 RPG)
PF-Dwight Howard- (17.4 PPG, 10.1 RPG)
SF-Grant Hill- (12.3 PPG, 6.6 RPG)

Orlando Magic @ Los Angeles Lakers
Grant had another game coming from
the bench, he finished a team-high
18 points.
Lakers showed great game from both side of the court. They hardly missed form the floor, converting 13 of their 17 1st quarter shot for 31 points. On defence, they held the Orlando to only 20 points on 47% shooting and forcing the Magic a lot of turnovers. Bryant already had 8 points and has yet to miss from the floor. Hill led the Magic with his 7 points. Lakers led 31-20 after one quarter.
Everything seems right for the Lakers. They continued they hot shooting and have a very good defensive job against the Magic. Lakers even led by 21 points in this quarter. But then injury struck back at the Lakers. Odom injured his arm while going for a basket. Lakers hoping it will not be a serious injury. Grant did a wonderful job filling in Odom’s absence as he scored 10 points in this quarter. Lakers still leading the game, 58-41.
KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF
Lakers again came from the dugout cold as they missed their first 7 shots. Magic weren’t able to take advantage of Lakers poor shooting. They still trailed by big margin. Lakers then recover and made most of their shots. Odom came back to the game and helped his team to extend their lead. The score was 81-58 and Magic need some magic to turn this thing around.
With that big lead, Coach Rudy T decided to rest his starters and let the bench players start the 4th quarter. Surprisingly, Lakers bench even extended the lead to 31 points. When he saw that Magic already conceded the game with less than 6 minutes to play, he put his 12th man line-up consisting of Grant, Slava, Cook, Bobbitt and Brown. All Lakers players scored in this ballgame with Cook winning the Player of the game honor with his 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.
Some Screenshots from the Game
Butler goes for a two-handed dunk, he finished with 14 points in the game.
Dwight Howard was one the Magic players struggle in this game.
Francis goes for a jam, finished with 20 points but also have 7 turnovers.
Odom suffered an arm injury in the 2nd quarter.
Mobley's 26 points was not enough to overcome Lakers balance scoring.
Even rookie Vujacic had a great game.

damn... the sonics are beating everyone in real life, and beating you in the game as well
i guess the big difference in that game was free throws, you only made 4-8 while they made 8-8.. so little freethrows
