Amare Stoudamire in Franchise

Fri Jan 03, 2003 6:18 pm

Before my season started, I edited amare stoudamire and made him roughly a 79 overall. The main points I made better were his rebounding (90 defensive, 79 offensive) and his field goals (80). How come when I play franchise mode he only averages about 9 ppg and 1 rebound??? I have tried playing on all difficulties and its the same results. I have tried switching his position from forward to center and it stil doesn't work. Is there a way I can edit him to make him rebound better?? If there is, please tell me!

If Live03 uses DSTATS then thats the problem. They don't look at his ratings, because he already has a set average type thing.

So I cannot change amare stoudamire in the game to rebound better? It is controlled with "DSTATS"?

P.S. The games are simulated.

i think, to influence the simmed games, you need to change the ratings in the players.dbf file and not in the game!

No, those are the same ratings. You do need to edit the players.dbf though. Set all his dstats to 0 and the stats will be averaged by the ratings.

no

put his primacy up and he will play better at least to an 88 or higher

Yeah dude, changed the DSTATS. Try putting 1000 on his offensive rebound column, He'll get ALMOST 1000 offreb after the season. Ofcourse you have to SIM this in order to get that 1000 mark.

yea, change the DSTATS for simmed games, and if you actually play the game, just switch to him defensively and rebounds urself, cuz the computer always make the SF rebounds. i dunno why.

i simmed half the season with the lakers and kobes assists and steals were low, i went to change the stats by editing players.dbf in the saved file folder. i made it exactly like he has on this current season and its the same stats as in real life, i change all his stats to the ones like NBA.com. i changed every single players in the lakers team to the stats on NBA.com and even changed the teams stats winning and standings. so i'm up to date. lol.

DSTATS is like milestones for the season btw

so ben,.... do you suggest doing this for all the players to get realistic (relative to this season) ....? so that the statistics are made according to the rating that WE give them?

Yup that's the best way to make the sims more realistic.

So, how would I change the dstats?

Sun Jan 19, 2003 6:41 am

on which base are the dstats ??

i mean when u put 3500 in the point per game column means the player will have 3500 points at the end of the season ???

so bout 42 points / game if the players plays all 82 games ??

Use the Toolkit to edit the Development Stats, or use a DBF editor to change the values of the DSTATS columns. The DSTATS are the last columns in the players.dbf file.
