The editing of the DBF file guides?

Hello, was just curious if there was any update from Andrew or anybody else on when some of the DBF file guides will be available? I have been tinkering around with it a bit myself - most of my interest is in allowing the insertion of my own created players into the rookie drafts, and perhaps giving these created players their own snazzy portrait, but I think that's probably more for the HEX editing guide (haha) 
Anybody have any basic ideas on how to accomplish this so far? I remember in Live 2003/2004 it was pretty easily done by modifying a couple of fields (ISGENERATE/ISCREATED) and messing with the team field (changing it to 30). I suspect some of this has changed, if for no other reason than the Charlotte Bobcats being added to the mix this year.

I need to sit down and update them for this year. Unfortunately since I've had the PC version I've either been working (during the week), working on the roster update, going out with friends or simply taking a break from looking at a computer - I haven't had a chance to dedicate myself to the task. But I still intend on doing it.
