Defensive Assignments do not seem to work.
I just got the game and played the 76ers with my Knicks, so I wanted Marbury to defend Iverson who was at SG. However, switching the assigment changed nothing on court, even though I was playing Man-to-Man defense for sure. Anyone else seen this yet?

Another thing I consider a bug - you cannot change the amount of money you want to offer an FA easily; instead, you have to scroll through the amounts by 10k steps, and if you change the number of years a contract runs, you have to start from scratch. I swear, it took me 5 minutes to get to the amount I wanted when simming a dynasty earlier.

yes and no.

I think this is the same bug we are talking about. But what I metioned above is when a player jumps to catch the ball.
He will freeze "in the air". It's funny...

I got this bug freqently as follow:

when my player (let say A) try to pass the ball to his teammate ( B ),
I use the "direct pass" button and throw the ball to B.

during the transition, when the ball is not yet catched by B,
I press any "quick play" button.

Then player B will freeze once he catched the ball ...

This happen around 90% of the time.
And the freezing time vary everytime.

actually player really freezes.. preventing fastbreaks.. but there was once or twice i think... when i made a pass to Tmac for a fastbreak... he catched it just like when u have an inbound pass to a running PG... cool.. he made the fast break dunk.

yes, some of the fastbreaks are awesome, it's very smooth and wonderful.

but most of my player freezes when I am passing the ball to the low post.
not quite often during the fastbreak

@ JohnnyKnoxville, i've had the same thing happen to me, nothing happended, however about 5 mins later in the game, a time out was called, then it switched, the positions of the players switched as well, as in pg to sg, sg to pg which was very odd.

Yes, i find this very annoying, cause this never happens in real life, I can take the bad calls of the refs, but this is so BAD. This pulls down the major improvements of the game..


ALso, I'd like to mention that SUperstar players can shoot the 3 easily, the game it's not as hard as it used to be.

The thing that really annoys me is that on superstar, your cpu teammates will never challenge the shot(try to block), and they also very rarely go for a rebound, that really pisses me off, because i like to play D with one player not switch constantly, and then the cpu just shoots whenever it wants to and it almost always goes in

that's why I play on allstar, because i get all pissed time and over again, and this was already in live2004, how can't they fix it? I mean it's not like it's hard to fix it since this is ok on every other difficulty level

also, there is no force feedback again(not a bug really but i just had to say )

it's weird that that bug goes away if you play with player lock
doesn't that bother anyone else?

Don't know if anybody else is annoyed with this but I sure am. Same as last year, at the start of the 3rd quarter, you start with the 5 players you had on court when the 2nd quarter ended. While on the other hand, the CPU team starts the quarter with his starters. In real life, NBA teams mostly start the 2nd half with their original starters.

It's not really a bug but I feel it's one of those things that should have been fixed from last year's version.

Ive just found a new bug...
It might just be a one off but i was bored and went into the player awards screen and theres already Rookie of the year award with Emeka Okafor's name already ON IT!!!! he's also on the all rookie and all defensive team

#4- When in the player substitution screen, you can no longer see how many points/minutes a player has tallied.

Actually I can't remember having that feature in Live 04 either ... There was only stamina bar, overall rating and ... hm I dunno what else. But I can't remember seeing minutes and points on the substitution screen.

in Live 2004, just scroll the horizontal bar and you'll see the stats

I hate sidescrolling too.

And I hate using the mouse to scroll especially I have to click on the "TINY" arrow for the scroll.

Well, yeah, of course i can do that. But I was thinking that it should've been automatic 'coz the starters have been rested by then. I hate this 'coz I always play on auto-subs. Anyway, I guess I'm the only one who finds this annoying. hehe

What I find quite annoying, but this could very well just be my own stupidity, is that when I sub in people, it happens very often, that the wrong person was subbed in. I just can't believe, that I click on the wrong person that often. At one time Chris Andersen should have gone in ... and a minute later I wondered, why David Wesley was defending the opposing Center. And that happens quite often ...

Anybody else experiencing this? Or am I just too dumb to sub people in correctly?

Oh and another thing. I have unlocked the Hornets 1998 alternate Jersey. But whenever I now restart the game I can't use it. Computer says its locked in the Jersey selecting screen. But when I go to the NBA Store, it says its unlocked ...

"during the final minute or two, I sure can win the game.
But I still want some of my starters play on the court in the garbage time
(I know it's unrealistic ).
I sub my starters to replace the bench. But when the game resume, the auto-sub substitute the bench back on the court after one second I did the sub manually.
It's very annoying, how come I cannot fully control my team? I set the auto-subs slider to 20 ~ 40 only....

During an All-star game
(this one is from the main menu -> all-star weekend -> all-star game),
I CANNOT use the "Direct Pass" button to inbound the ball.

Does anybody have the same experience?

i feel exactly the same, man. i also want my starters to play even during garbage time. so what i do is i still use auto-subs, but i've set a rule for myself, that i can manually sub in the last 2 mins. what i find frustrating is that sometimes after a timeout the AI would quickly inbound the ball and i suddenly find out that he's taken out my starters and it's too late to make the subs.

Then why do you auto-sub, when it is so annoying? I've never autosubbed, just because of the reasons you mentioned. Sub them in manually if you want certain players in ...

While I was playng dynasty mode in one game there was player with huge head(on bench)Head was about 100 times bigger than normal one...
I can post a screen like clue if ya don't belive.Just to say i didnt mess with dfb editing!
