I had a big trade in my Sonics Franchise:
SEA->DET: Drobnjak+Potapenko
DET->SEA: Ben Wallace+Hubert Davis
What do you think about thsi trade, was it good or bad?

I voted good. You received a legitimate power forward and decent third string guard for a couple of average to decent post players.

wow 6-0 :-) Seems, that you think, the trade was good. Well, I'm not sure, weither it was good, because Wallace grabs only 6 boards but he plays great defense in the post! I think that's very important for the very hard playoffs in the West!

Only 6 boards? Are you playing 12 minute quarters?

Good trade. Got rid of two useless centres and got a great defender and great shooter in return. Was it offered to you or did you make the offer??

I see by your site you're playing 6 minute quarters, so 6 boards isn't all that bad. Wallace usually grabs about 13 or more boards in my Franchise, playing 12 minute quarters (with Wallace playing 30+ minutes per game). I think your record since the trade speaks for itself though.

i offered the trade!
wallace has made emy team much more defensive, thats the most important point! he can defend against webber or nowitzki!
@andrew: i think, that it isn't only the trade, that makes the record, i think most important was the change in the lineup, that brang Jerome James (Allstar!!!) in!

I have a franchise with the Hornets running and i traded Jamaal Magloire and George Lynch for Ben Wallace. Right after that trade i changed his primary position, which resulted in a dropping of his overall rating to 67. So he hasnt made a good performance until i fixed this. But now, back at 85 he still is not that good. And i am wondering why. He is not in the starting lineup and i changed his primary position from PF to C, maybe thats why he doesnt play that good?

Should i give him his position as PF back? Should i bring him as starter to get a good performance?

my experiences with wallace also aren't very good, he averages 4 ppg and 6rpg (but ok, he's my top-rebounder). and he makes a lot of steals (1,2spg in just 19mpg) and blocks really solid (1,5bpg)

Is that better or worse than Potapenko and Drobnjak though?

Wed Jan 15, 2003 2:52 am

i think it's better! because of his defense! drobnjak would have been a good lowpost-scorer butt now i got a good (surprising :-) lowpost-sorer with james!

So long as you're winning, just gotta keep doing what you're doing. :)

Thu Jan 16, 2003 2:45 am
