Dropping overall rating

Sat Jan 11, 2003 12:40 pm

Hi folks,

can someone maybe explain the following to me. I have started a Hornets Franchise, i am now 6 games into the season. After the 3rd game, i traded Jamal Magloire and George Lynch to Detroit and received Ben Wallace. Ben had an 85 overall rating. But after the first game for me his rating dropped to 67 ...

Has anybody any idea, why this has happend and how i can change that back? Cause i wouldnt have traded him, if he had that rating before.

Wallace was supposed to be a backup for Elden Campbell on the C position, but now i can hardly use him.

Ya... The same thing happened to me when I traded Michael Redd from the Bucks....

I more or less found out, what happend. I traded Magloire to Detroit to get Wallace. I wanted Wallace as second Center, but his primary position is PF, so i changed it. Right after that, he dropped to 67.

I changed it now in the database, so that he has 85 again and his first position is Center.

Can someone of the more experienced Players and / or Databasetweakers give a comment about that?

are you using DK's rosters?

b'cause if u are here's what's up
he uses some database editor to change different ratings(FG, speed, etc)
but this doesn't change the overall rating, but when u edit the players ingame (number, pos, gear, etc) then it changes the overall rating (using the other ratings)

what to do?
do it my way - just ignore it

...or edit all the players manually before you start the franchise
