Yao + Lakers Uniforms by Gene

Fri Jan 10, 2003 6:22 pm

I still havn't got a proper site sorted out yet, and don't really know what's happening with regards to hosting my files on nbalive.org (Ben, are my emails not coming through or are you just ignoring me? I sent a couple of emails to that nbalive.org address of yours), but here's a temporary place where you can take a look at some screens and download the following patches:

Yao Ming complete update: Gives Yao a new face, his red bracelet, new practice gear (with Nike Shox BB4 shoes) and Nike Shox Limitless shoes in a couple of colours for 5 on 5 games

L.A. Lakers 2002/2003 uniforms: Gives the Lakers new home, away and white alternative uniforms, including their black bands

Hope you like the patches!

Jordan's second comeback? That was the relatively bad one... hehe, thanks anyway nahklahan, appreciate it :) And there's plenty more coming JM, thanks for the compliments as well :P

I just realised that the zip file that I uploaded had some fairly crappy quality .fsh files in there (a fair bit of quality was lost after importing the images into the fsh files). I've got some better quality ones done, I'll fix up a new zip and upload them pretty soon

that's nice to hear! btw, you might want to check the .bat files of the patches...i tried extracting them on the maib Live 2003 folder and run the .bat file and it only creates the folder on the /render and didn't move the neccessary files in the folder created...i dunno if it's only in my pc...

I Love the Lakers jersey gene...great colours and texture...even got the black band :)...don't like the ming face though...sorry...too much like EAs one.
Hey i got a suggestion...you should use the GFXpak for installations...then that way you don't have to have slow customart loading

Here's a little note from Tony...

Great patches as always... lovin' the shoes.

i sent you a PM before i got deleted off this forum, in case you haven't read it (it was regarding the nbalive.org file uploads etc.)

since i have been deleted from the forum (lord only knows why), this is the only way i could get to you.

Tony

nice stuff... but perhaps u should erase the mesh holes...i know they're not too visible but would look better...

Thanks very much for the positive feedback and the suggestions. I'm not sure what the problem with the bat is JM, it seems to work for me, sorry about that. But I don't think I'll switch over to using GFXpak to install the patches Nick, I prefer not having to overwrite the original files in case something goes wrong, but thanks for the tip anyway.

Um, Alex, with those little mesh holes, I was debating as to whether or not I should leave them in, because you can't really see them on TV or in photos of the real jerseys, but they're there. I was thinking that in the game, you can only see them when you zoom in real close anyway, which is the same as in reality.

And Tony, the Stephen Hawking of the patchmaking world (a genius reduced to talking through an artificial voice-box, aka Nick), I got your PM, I'll head over to the nbalive.org forum and talk to you there.
