Note: i will not be making any further replies related to this subject on this thread, you want to take this elsewhere, and have a broad discussion about it, OPEN ANOTHER THREAD, and invite the "silent majority" who are using the pirated version of the game, without the fear of shaming, to let them freely express their opinions, this shouldn't always turn into a point of view battle and each is hell bent on proving they won the debate, i got no time for that, but a vehicle for sharing views, and let ppl on their own decide what they find fitting. im out

This is honestly one of the more dense individuals I’ve ever seen on these forums. Like the stupidity would almost be commendable if it wasn’t so painful to witness. You act like there are “sides”. This isn’t greyscale, you’re in the wrong. You’re breaking the law and the forum rules.

Andrew, can we please get a ban over here? I’ve never seen such a moronic advocate of pirating. Encouraging fellow individuals who pirate to come forward is a new take.

So this is what it is, you rally around an opinion, and when it opposes yours, you scream ban him, sad and unfortunate, dictatorship on forums is nothing new...i have done nothing wrong besides express my opinion, or are we only allowed to have one opinion here

It's not an OPINION. Are you that dense? It's not a "stealing is okay, and that's my opinion", it's actually not okay. That's what pirating a game is, it's stealing.

It's not a "you live your life and I'll live mine" situation when you bring that toxic behavior into a community. When you come into a community where pirating games is against the rules, and when it's well known that it's literally illegal to do so, it crosses the line.

Don't bring that crap in here, and to be so confident and cocky about it is actually concerning. Take responsibility for your own actions, admit to yourself that what you did was complete crap, and learn from it. Anybody that buys a product, gets a full refund, followed by getting the same product for free illegally and thinks it's okay, needs a reality check.

And Nomad, if you are not a dupe account. This is not a debateable topic, for all the reasons I have already outlined above. It's not an opinion, not a debate, it's a black and white issue.

Our policy on piracy is quite straightforward and clearly posted. We don't support it, and while everyone is going to do what they're going to do regardless of that, if you come in here wanting to talk about it, or post/request links to illegal downloads, then you're out. Our party, our house rules. As already noted, it's not a matter of debating the issue. Those are the rules and policies we've set. Simple as that.

Love it! Pirating and sock puppet account combo. Glad to see this policed, perfect place to start. Thanks to the moderators for all the good they do.

I feel the need to point something out.

I HATE when people get banned, because I feel like it didnt have to be that way. These people were excited when they joined the NLSC, they were excited for the content and maybe even the discussion. Seeing people get banned sucks, because now they can't engage the way they originally wanted to. Its also disappointing that people defend shady practices like pirating games, creating duplicate accounts, etc. It just sucks all the way around.

The moderators have to do what they have to do, and the NLSC has rules. It's also our responsibility as a community to make sure things are run fair, and smoothly. So while I don't regret speaking up, it still sucks when this stuff happens.

Absolutely. It's definitely a regrettable situation, and we don't relish banning people. Outside of a few hardline policies, it's definitely a last resort. We certainly want to be reasonable, but that also requires everyone to be reasonable and acting in good faith as well.
