I actually like the ankle breaker, but it seems u got good reason to removed it. And i wish cortana can help you find the anim for it.
I dont tell the good side as its already known and appreciated.
Got few right now.
1. The AI looks more energetic, its seems they are running the whole game, which i dont feel that they make extra passes. That makes 100+ average points in 3rd quarter (using 6 mins per quarter).
2. AI makes a behind jumpshot (eg. facing at the crowd then take a shot)
3. Long Pass from outside the court, looks like doing a balloon pass

Are you using the plays and defplays dbfs included? You can try a few of the assignment.act from other aiacts to see if it makes a difference. I honestly think its a combo of the assignment aiact and the sliders that affect the gameplay portion of the game.
The behind jumpshot? If you can get it on video I can track down the animation.
Long pass from the back court ,I can adjust the anim from lob to regular to adjust the pass height.
How do you feel about the slower block anims? I tried to make it more difficult to block a outside jumpshot.
