As somebody who suffers from depression, I can relate to this thread somewhat. I often find myself searching for some kind of epiphany that will allow me to be a happy, productive, decent person. However, while that may be encouraging for a day or two, I realize that it was just an empty platitude, and that happiness takes more effort than that.
Anyway, I'd say the best suggestion in this thread is to self-medicate.. or at least that's the one that works best for me.
