Problem with PS2 version of 2K12

I just recently bought the PS2 version of NBA 2K12 off eBay and after playing my first game I decided to look up cheats for this game and it said to go to "Features" then "Codes" and when I went to features, there is no option for codes, I'm really confused.
Any help would be great!

I can't help you with that... but...

Do you have a average PC? NBA 2K12 can run on almost anything. I had a 7 year old HP with integrated graphics and I ran the game at 60 FPS on medium settings. Not only would you have the Playstation 3 graphics, but you would have all the mods at your disposal (WAY better than cheat codes, trust me).

You can even use a PS3 controller plugged into your PC and just play using that.

Yes I have A core i7 machine and don't like the gameplay on the XBOX 360 and PS3 instead I prefer the good ol' fun PS2 gameplay.

Unfortunately, I think you might be out of luck there. Not many people have come around talking about the PS2 version of NBA 2K in over a decade.

Is the code listing specifically for the PS2 version? Those instructions do sound like they're for the PC/360/PS3 version.

It wouldn't be the first time that there's an erroneous code listing on IGN. However, it might just be some imprecise instructions.

The Codes menu has at times been found under a menu called Extras, so I'd basically just go through every menu until you've exhausted all options. If it's not there, then it's possible that the codes are actually for the PC/PS3/360 version, and have been erroneously listed for PS2 as well.

I went through every option and not once did I find codes.

Then there's a good chance the listing is erroneous, and no one's bothered to fact check and update it accordingly. I wish I could be more helpful, but I don't have the PS2 version, so I can only guess. It is sounding like someone's added the codes for PC/PS3/360 to a PS2 listing, though.
