I'm this close to pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition, might wait for reviews to come out first.

Why does the game look exactly same with SvR 2010? Or is it me seeing that wrong?

I'd say there's been some visual improvement, but the gameplay hasn't evolved too much.

To be fair, I'd say WWE 2K18 looks like 2K17 with better models and lighting. It's totally unfair to compare it visually to PS2-era WWE games.

Meanwhile, the ratings of the playable Superstars are revealed. Really? ROMAN REIGNS AT 95?!?!? The highest-rated character in-game? Really going that far to shove Reigns down our throats.

I hope they found out a way to incorporate Demon Balor in MyCareer and Universe Mode as a PPV attire for Finn Balor, seeing that they're separate characters here.

I, for one, can't wait to play as Colonel Sanders.

I guess the ratings are far less objective than games depicting real sports, but man, they're not even being subtle with Reigns' rating. Hopefully the Legends will be rated higher.

In any event, I know what I'm doing with the Accelerator.

I will assume that you can edit their ratings. Reigns being the highest-rated isn't right at all.

I just pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition on Steam. One of the first things I'm gonna be doing are the following:

• Beat-up Reigns.
• Beat-up Enzo Amore.
• Submit Reigns via a normal submission move from the lowest-rated Superstar.
• Have Paige join the New Day.

I can't suggest enough re-rating all your players via the Operation Sports spreadsheet. I'm sure they'll put out a new one and/or update it for 2K18, but it completely changed 2K17 for me.

It's very time consuming, but when paired with the listed settings, it removes the 3 minute matches that were complained about way back in this thread, unless it's a main even star versus a scrub. The Overalls end up a little wonky (having dealt with custom rosters in the NBA 2K series, though, this should come far less shocking to us than many others), but the overall experience is great. I'd recommend giving it a shot on like 2 superstars, 2 mid carters, and 2 jobbers, and play some different combination matches between them. After I did that, I was sold and gradually edited a few guys a day until I had the entire current roster done (they also have it for all of the Retro stars and ones who are not in the game as well).

To be honest, I don't mind the shorter matches. I'm less sim when it comes to the WWE games compared to the NBA games, but it is intriguing all the same, so I'll probably try it out.

Anybody started your download of the game? Seems like the "4 days early" bonus doesn't apply on the PC version.

I got the disc version on PS4, and it arrived in time, so no issues here.

I went on to check their Twitter (@WWEGames) and they have tweeted about the Deluxe Edition launch. There were people who replied "...except for the PC version, which you'd still wait for the 17th."

So yeah, wait a few more days for it to be available on Steam, and a few more days to download the game.

I went with the digital PS4 version, so it's still installing for a few more hours. Played a match of Rollins vs Roode and I think I had to hit 4 or 5 finishers to get a 3 count, so there's some work with the ratings/options that'll need to happen. It felt very smooth, though. I'm interested to really dig in and see the tweaks that were made from last year. Visually it looked great. No intros or announcers during the match, but for many, I'm sure that's a plus, given the commentary blasts I read frequently. I'm excited to get playing this evening or tomorrow.

First match I played was Undertaker vs. Sting in the Wrestlemania 33 arena at night. Actually finished the match using only one finisher; hit a tombstone on Sting out on the floor, picked him up, rolled him back in, and pinned for the three count. Pretty fun.

Once I got the game loaded, everything seems fine. Definitely some new learning with some of the tweaked controls. I think the graphics are a definite upgrade from 2K17, but maybe I'm imagining it. Skin tones seem to be more realistic, lighting, etc. Some cool stuff in the CC already, too.

Going through all the ratings, including the Legends, I can confirm that Reigns is indeed rated higher than everyone at 95 Overall. Definitely on the nose.

Played a fun singles match as Shinsuke vs Killian Dain with all of Sanity. I hit a Kinshasa, and the ref was pulled out of the ring during the count. Then Nikki Cross gets up on the apron and pulls the rope down as I run at her, and gets ejected from the match. Dain took it to me and came dangerously close to a pin. I got another Kinshasa, go for the pin, and Alexander Wolfe breaks up the pin and starts beating me up. The match is called on a Disqualification. It all felt really authentic and was frustratingly fun. Easy to try and circumnavigate one annoying manager, but when there's 3 of them chomping at the bit, you really feel it. Very enjoyable.

Good to hear your impressions about the game. And it's great they acted the way heel stables should. I might have the game fully downloaded next Friday so damn it!

Can you guys confirm if the face import tool is still in-game? I might bring back myself as MyPlayer.

They're really finding ways to shove Reigns down our throats, eh? If any, I'd have AJ Styles with the highest rating among everybody on the current roster.
