Hi All!

This year NBA 2k18 is all about retro....so I plan to bring some retro arena / courts to the game; I'm not the best court /arena maker but I hope I can contribute to the community

First take is 1999 MSG arena / floor...just a WIP by now

Jesus, this game really needs a new Global. Hopefully the global editors are on it.

Nice job with the courts. But every time I put the game on or see screenshots, I am just baffled at the look of the game (Lighting, missing shaders, etc).

I will also provide retro arena..as you can see baskets and backboard on 1999 MSG are different than 2k defaults

Hey maumau, just a quick suggestion can you take away the blue filter from the classic stadiums. It makes the stadiums look really bland and it doesn't mesh well when you compare those stadiums with current ones which have no filter at all.

I believe the texture responsible for the blue filter is something like color_correction.dds, you just have to remove it from the .iff file.

@Peacemannot I will try to import / export those files to see if light will change....

More previews:

Since I think the floor color and texture are just ok I'm moving on adjusting arena light...here's a simple preview:

Also I'll make the crowd a little brighter (1995-1999 MSG light were not so dimmed)......let's say 10-10% brighter

Having tried it out, everything looks way too bright. I think the only thing you need to tweak with the classic stadiums is how dark the crowds are, basically the thing that makes the stadium looks so dull and bland (dark crowds, blue filter etc.). This feels a little too saturated, while some of your older stadiums lighting mods with 2K16/2K17 are perfectly balanced.

PeacemanNOT thanks for feedback...this is a very first attempt on editing stadium light in 2k18; I will try to adjust them and re-release.....

One thing I noticed is that these retro teams have accurate stanchions, adboards and crowds.

I always liked what you did, you do not surprise me.

Thanks for your work on htis! MSG always did have that darkess to it, the dark crowd and spotlight on the court

I just tried it out, seems a lot improved. I feel like with a right court mod, this could look really good
