A complete lighting overhaul is necessary (In my opinion), can it be done globally or does it need to be done for each team individually.

That's a lot of work, because it means finding all the teams and changing the lighting. I'd need to see more screenshots or be able to test it in game to see if it really makes that big of a difference.

How do we change it?

....also...I discovered I can probably change sxxx and fxxx a team will use...do you think this can be useful for you?

If any one is good with cheat engine or can put me in touch with someone who is good with cheat engine please let me know. I am trying to create a cheate table that will allow us to see a players full attributes, tendencies, and badges. Limnono's trainer does not allow us to copy these values from player to another.

This is needed for retro nba mods and college/ retro college mods



Alright I'm probably going to need a step by step video tutorial with the 3D hair/facial hair thing. I'm not good with just reading instructions, I gotta be able to see it as well if you don't mind. Take your time, no rush. If making cyberfaces is basically the same this year then I should be fine, but knowing me I always am having trouble with something. Thanks.

So I figured out how to shrinkwrap in 2K17 and create my own body types, it's pretty easy. For 2K18, the same method will work im sure, but how do I export the models?

-There are several Cheat engine tables floating around the internet (Check Limnono trainer thread for chinese cheat table)/ (Check Mr. GoldGiver's youtube for MyCareer related cheat table)
As always these cheat table may only work with old instances of the .exe so be sure to back up your .exe files so that you will be able to use these tables after patches come through.
**Do not use this thread to request hacks for mycareer online, try things out for yourself but note you will likely get reported or banned when trying to use cheat engine to gain unfair advantages online.

I don't have problems to open it on blender. Use the the nba 2k17 plug in and open facialHair_01_SCNE.
Talking about hair color you can do the same procedure as hair model looking in hair_color_o.TXTR and copying and renaming the file ;-)


i managed to import facialHair_01_SCNE into blender but it looks like the model is very small, how exactly can we adjust the beards? dont know much about blender :?

you have to put it in object mode and hit mouse 2 on your beard and sculpt it, dont forget to import body model too so you can know what you're doing then you have to rename it "the beard or haircut" as "hihead" not hihead.001 or 002 and make sure you already chose facialhair.scne so you can export it without any problem if you about to export hair then choose hair.scne you know its same with body hihead.scne

Hi~. I am asian user who interested in editting face, body 3d modeling.
I have been modded face and body modeling old NBA2k12 using blender. But a lot of time has passed.
I tried to body modeling Tracy Mcgrady on NBA2k18.
After I researched post of this site about modding, I installed blender and nba2k17 plug in. And I succeeded opening "hihead.SCNE" in png iff file.

But after modding body modeling, I can not saving my work because export error.
Currently Can't we mod 3d modeling in blender on NBA2k18?? To edit body, face modeling, Should we just wait release blender plug in for NBA2k18??

Everything is moddable, it is just a matter of figuring out what parameters to change

I cant export either. Which model am i editing? The one that is mentioned at the bottom of the hihead.scne is a low quality LOD model. Am I supposed to be editing the highest quality model? Or the highest quality LOD model? And how exactly do I extract?

I'm getting a file not found error no matter what I do. I'm in object mode and it's named hihead.

All I need to know is which model to load into blender and how to export.

Any quick quidance? Sorry, just a busy day working on this stuff. You are always so helpful.

got the exact problem last time, what i did was type in the full directory of hihead.scne in the import menu and then it suddenly works when i export the model. hope this helps

That tutorial worked for me except, I know you can't use notepad. Use a hex editor or notepad++

Not sure what you mean. It imports perfectly fine.
