So it works? Does this mean we can mod CF in 2k18?
I'm pretty sure you can mod in CFs in 2K18 even without that video.
Also it is possible to convert 2K17 cyberfaces to NBA 2K18. Its going to take a lot of work but I basicly threw a video together about the proof of concept. I began converting my 2K17 Wilt.

As you can see, whenever the player has an expression on his face, i got weird color on the hair of the player, it's darker. I think it comes from the face_wrinklecolor_o.dds but i can't figure it out. Does somebody know what to do to remove this ?
Guys, your tutorials are very handy

Here we go !
In my example I use Green and Wall. So you find their own png.iff, png2478.iff for green and png1801.iff for wall.
Open the files with 7zip. You've got different .SCNE files for appearance, hair and facial hair. Open facialHair_01.SCNE from Green. You have this :
"facialHair_01": {
"EndTime": 2.0,
"Material": {
"facialHair_shader":
},
"Model": {
"hihead": {
................blablabla..........................
"Binary": "hihead.0116d4e0caa1c3d4.model"
What you need to know is that file attached to "hihead".
So now you search for hihead.0116d4e0caa1c3d4.model in the Green png.iff. You keep it on one side...
You do exactly the same thing with Wall png.iff So you have in that case hihead.c943484d453bc20d.model.
The MAIN thing now is to COPY the hihead.blablabla.model from Wall png.iff into the Green png.iff using 7zip. And RENAME in the Green png.iff the new hihead.blablabla.model by the old one. If you do this you have to erase the old one. In my example, I copy "hihead.c943484d453bc20d.model" in Green png.iff and rename it with "hihead.0116d4e0caa1c3d4.model".
That's pretty much it. After this operation you have to open in Blender to fit your player. The probleme that I have now (but not the first time !) is that Blender crashes with this new file although the result is ok in the game.

I don't have problems to open it on blender. Use the the nba 2k17 plug in and open facialHair_01_SCNE.
Talking about hair color you can do the same procedure as hair model looking in hair_color_o.TXTR and copying and renaming the file
