This is a perfect opportunity for them to go all out and fix everything in terms of art for Classic teams, especially with jerseys/courts/stadiums. Faces I could let slide as that's a lot of work, but even then there are some improvements to be made in that regard.

I really hope they don't go the 2K16 route and just half arse the art for new classic teams, or even worse put effort into the new classic teams and ignore the original ones. That would aggravate the hell out of me, but the fact that they're still putting a focus on classic teams is a good sign.

This also gives us a stronger base for our classic teams roster. It will give us more slots, and many of the teams (outside of art edits possibly) can just be filled (Overwrite the fakes).

I'm absolutely positive these 46 new teams will include MyTeam exclusive players. I'm REALLY pumped about that. Plus, I don't have to bump players stats to reach their prime anymore, they will be in their prime already on the All-time teams. Damn, this is probably going to be the most exciting basketball game ever, by far. Add to that the fact that the current Sixers will probably be lit. This will be a very long month for me

Good news all around in terms of the extra content this year. Hopefully it will mean a bit more attention is paid to the historical teams. I'd still love to have a challenge mode to use them in, though.

It's funny just yesterday I was talking about the future of the classic teams ..and predicted .2k would not add any ..and now this ?16 new is staggering ....they will probably use some players from those all time classic ..speaking of all time .u can't say all time pacers and don't include Reggie Miller Und Jermaine O'Neal
Same with the Kings /Webber has to be there ..Barkley and co also ...

Nothing conf irmd yet ..but I would be very surprised not to see those (my team players included ..)

Getting some old school rule options would be fantastic.

The thought occurred to me that even though we're getting new teams, there's still a chance others might be removed. Hopefully, that isn't the case. Indeed, since they are putting in the all-time teams, maybe we'll see a few missing players added to the existing classic squads. That'd obviously be fantastic.

It'd be great if they have reached agreements with Barkley and Miller at last. Not only would that ensure proper representation for the all-time teams, but the 1993 Suns, 1997 Rockets, and either the 1998 or 2000 Pacers would be great additions.

If LD2K's comments during the 2K TV finale are anything to go by, the 2007 Warriors could be one of the new teams added this year.

Yeah, that'd be great. The moment you have different positions for the 3PT line, college and international mods get to the next level. Still waiting for what you have mentioned, including the "all shots worth 2 points". I really enjoyed one or two of the 2K13 historic challenges where you didn't have a 3PT line.

That got me when I was finishing up NBA's Greatest in NBA 2K12, not having the three-point line. In my first attempt at the Jerry West game, I nailed a shot at the buzzer that would've forced overtime, had there been a three-point line. Even though it's just one extra point, it definitely has a huge impact when you're trying to protect a slim lead, or need to make up a deficit in a hurry. Obviously the other team is at the same disadvantage, but for those of us who have grown up in the three-point era, we're accustomed to making effective use of the three-point shot in video games, so it's a bit weird when you can no longer rely on it. A fun change of pace, though.

Those complaints were relevant, and any good developer(s) want that feedback. That long thread could spark improvement to upcoming 2k games (including 2K18).

I stand by my complaints in that thread. The game had good aspects to it, but legacy issues and other new issues stopped it from being a superb game.

Consumer feedback is so vital, that thread was all about that.

I have purchased every 2K game they have ever released, this year will be no different. I've participated in modding for 2K's going back to NBA 2K13, and that will be the same for 2K18 as well. Just because I have critiques, doesn't mean I don't support 2K or the basketball video game industry.

fair enough. i'm going to wait it out until black friday though, so if i do get it, it will be at a discount. was so disappointed with last year's (and past few years) lack of basic bball fundamentals - mostly defense.
